so so so much potential, but not quite there just yet
this is going to sound like a review written by an old person on google, but i would personally give this game 4/maybe even 4.5 stars had this not been rushed out with so many unpolished edges.
the content in the game is very good. maybe even the best since black/white. but the performance issues, general bugs, randomly cut small features that were present in previous games (such as moving pokemon to other boxes from the 'all boxes' screen)? in fact, that seems like a constant thing with many pokemon releases. some very nice, surprising QoL feature is introduced, then completely left out in the next game of the series.
anyways, i'm hoping to see this game receive more attention from GF/TPC through the future to further polish it. regardless, it's still somewhat disappointing to see what can be an amazing game at times fall so short in other non-creative, development aspects.
