A bit too obscure and vague at times but it's really quite unique. Definitely worth a playthrough!

I have a lot of thoughts about it but without going into spoiler territory it's been a long wait but it feels like it's finally over in some way

Max Payne 2 re-iterates on Max Payne 1 in quite a few ways but overall it's a completely fresh new game, it feels responsive, slick and the details and interactions have been changed a bit but overall in good ways.

Gameplay intention feels way better (now headshots actually matter and are reliable) and there's a few improvements here and there that make the experience more fluid.

IT'S PAYNE, WACK IM
Simply fantastic, the story is very cool and to the point but whenever there's a comic strip you know you're in for a good time. Clearly inspired by Hard boiled (there's even a reference to it in one of the difficulties' name) and other movies like it. The gameplay can be brutal but having a quicksave quickload feature does help.

If you're playing on PC the patches from pcgamingwiki are mandatory as the PC port on steam is completely broken on modern systems.

Sam Lake has been building up the lore and meta jokes for quite a while so this feels like a culmination of a lot of stuff, and still I'm longing for more, even if the game is a buggy as fuck and just overall not too polished. And still, it's just so fun and interesting, it breaks a lot of new ground and I can't wait to see what's next if there's gonna be anything else...

These little guys are gonna commit war crimes

Pretty cute game. The puzzles are very simplistic but that's ok.
The story can be cheesy at times but it's wholesome in an endearing way

Perfect for when I wanna go to bed shoo mi mi mi mi mi

It's not bad but it's kinda generic? It really didn't leave any impression on me

Slightly easier than Talos 1 but it's just as fun and interesting. The writing is amazing and its only flaw might be the lack of dialogue options sometimes, I feel like I'd wanna say more about something but they just cut me short...
Soundtrack is REALLY good, up to par if not better than 1
