I enjoyed my time in the world of this moon diner, with its unique artstyle/color palate that fits the mood and atmosphere of its world perfectly with its yellow and blue shades portraying nighttime/the moon perfectly. The story of this Visual Novel/Adventure game was pretty engrossing and drew me in pretty quickly with decently written characters and a unique premise. That being said it does stray a bit absurdist and got closer to loosing me a few times, but I got over those moments quickly and was able to accept this game for what it is. A quite relaxing Visual Novel where you talk to other members of your situation and try to get yourself out of the Diner you are stuck in for what seems like all eternity.

Ys Origin, a fun romp up a tower with a story that doesn't overstay its welcome, and fast paced action that is fair and fun. Just make sure your properly leveled for each boss encounter, because being underleveled is a pain and a half. Thankfully leveling up is a quite quick and painless endeavor if needed. The music is also fantastic and fits right in with the rest of falcoms fantastic soundtracks. Of note its surprising how much this feels like a falcom game in its writing, style etc. having only played more of its recent titles eg. Ys 8,9. and some Trails games.

Mr. Coo is a enjoyable interactive animation in the style of a point and click game. reminiscent of old cartoons or comix, the animation is beautifully fluid and inventive, putting a smile on my face for most of the runtime and getting a few chuckles out of me as well. The point and click part of the game is good overall, but still suffers from moon logic like most of the genre does. The game is also has a few bugs which detract from the experience overall but are not overbearing to the point of ruining the fun.

A beautifully told tale of an immigrant family, told from a perspective not often seen, the mother. Experience the life of the family and the cultural struggles of a cross continent move to a totally different culture thru the lens of food. The presentation of this game is fantastic, colorful art, authentic music, appealing sound design, and well written dialog. biggest gripe would be the disappointing number of dishes you make. I wish there was more! Overall a must play if it interests you, especially if you have gamepass.

A wonderfully executed rhythm action game Metal: Hellsinger hits all the right notes, the music pumping, weapons satisfying, just an all around great package.

En Garde! is a fantastic swashbuckler action game. You must use the environment to your advantage for if you get surrounded you will quickly loose. I absolutely loved the Spanish guitar music, the art-style is painterly and lovely, and the Writing/voice acting is so very charming. I hearty recommend from me if it looks interesting to you. Most peoples major gripes with it would likely be its short campaign run time of 4-5 hours, but it felt perfect to me.

Over the years I have tried to get into this game playing a month or two here, one there. On pc, on switch etc. It finally clicked and the past week I put about 45 hours into it to reach the "end". Not much to say about this game that probably hasn't already been said, a great gameplay loop that keeps you going just one more day/week/month/year. Amazing music that sets the atmosphere perfectly. Interesting characters that seem like real people and have real problems. Addicting progression with the growth of your farm, combat, fishing, relationships and profit. Truely a monumental achievement for a solo developer.

As a collection of unique solitaire games I would say this package is quite excellent! While I do admit I am not a solitaire connoisseur, most of these variations I had not heard of and I found them quite enjoyable and a few of them quite challenging. Each game has a distinct theme/ style that suits its game respectively with nice music to boot. Their could be a bit more tracking of stats and such, all it tracks are wins. I thoroughly enjoyed popping in to this game when I had some time to kill and might continue to do so!

Hexologic puts a twist on sudoku to great effect! The visual design and clarity of the puzzles was excellent, The difficulty was tuned just about right, visually it looks quite pretty with its artstyle. Puzzles flowed logically and new mechanics were introduced in a timely manner. All in all a great package and definitely a recommend from me.

An addictive little puzzle game that I played in one sitting. I felt the difficulty was tuned just right, no puzzle stumped me for too long and it tutorialized its mechanic very well. for .99 I would say try it if you like small puzzle games!

Redtape is a rather enjoyable walking sim where you solve simple problems as you explore corporate hell. Amusing dialogue leads you thru the inventive reinterpretations of characters you are likely to know with a quite nice magazine clippings-esque art style, my favorite being the depiction of cerberus. The biggest issue I had with the game was technical with slowdown on the second level of the building. A great game in all. I had a blast.

A well deserved story arc for Melia after the base game finished, you explore the Bionis shoulder another awe inspiring landscape in the Xenoblade series. Unfortunately not everything is firing on all cylinders as in the base game making it to me the least compelling Xenoblade outing. Still, the music and landscapes are great and the characters are still endearing so it's worth diving in if you are looking for more of the base Xenoblade experience.

For what I assume must be a small budget, the game really pulls its weight in the visuals department looking quite nice and unique for a indie game. Gameplay wise the combat is good not great, it at least isn't frustrating most of the time ( although it feels too easy to get stun locked with multiple enemies). The quests were nice at first, it just ended up being way too many, I could of done with like a 25-30% Decrease in the total number of them. The story was just ok. it at least wasn't uninteresting. The music was good as well, nothing special though. all in all, truly the most 3/5 game I have almost ever played. Finishing this leaves me interested in how the full JRPG is going to turn out when it comes out later this year? looking forward to it!

All in all what a cute game, I wonder if they were heavily inspired by A Short Hike. Playing this game really put a smile on my face with how the lil gator walks, the joyful music, cute writing and some decent traversal mechanics. (I loved the shield surfing especially over the water!) one thing I find weird is how all the kids put up these cardboard cutouts just to let 1 kid tear them all down. I would of liked to see some of the other kids take part in the process of destruction! Oh and I loved how they all were different animals, how cute. I hope to see more games in the same vain as this and A Short Hike in the future, they just put a smile on my face when I play them!

An old JRPG with a lot of charm Dragon Quest V ended up being an enjoyable playable fairytale that didn't overstay its welcome. You follow a small likeable cast of characters as they grow up, experience loss, love and life, travel a classic world and defeat evil once and for all. Nitpicks of the game include random battles, a final boss I did not enjoy, a camera bug, a rote if enjoyable story, and annoying menu system. Give it a try if you want to go back in time to 2004 (for the ps2 version).
