At its core, it's a very good Fire Emblem game. Does a worse job at creating a unique and well developed experience like Awakening does, but is still great. I much prefer the cast and setting of Birthright over Conquest, and the cast is fun as hell

Right behind 8 for me in most regards. Like most, I have so many fantastic memories from when I was younger, and it's brought so many neat mechanics and courses that have carried over or been improved on in the future

A very worthwhile Mario Kart experience. Fits greatly on a handheld and the course selection is pretty good - holds almost zero reason to go back to it at this point though

Wacky but delightful and unique experience that feels like something only Nintendo could make. A remake refining some of the mechanics and making the overall package feel more substantial would do wonders

The Pokemon formula at its best. It perfects the charm and style of the Pokemon series in such a cozy, refined Pokemon adventure. I hold so many great memories from over the years, and it's one of my favorite games ever

A great first introduction to the series. One of the first 3D I played too. Unique yet engaging central combat system, fun and witty narrative, and some of the weaker areas of the game (platforming in Luigi's dream) never felt like a huge chore

I'm incredibly impressed by how many risks this game took from the core series format - from the new "Trials" to the much larger focus on narrative. I don't think it stuck the landing completley, but I was happy to see such a great step forward - the Hawaii locale in general just felt like a great fresh breath of air

One of the best Pokemon games out there. The Hoenn region is delightful; and this gen's Pokemon is overall very solid. The remake of the polish too obviously shines and makes the entire experience and even greater experience

The Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood of gaming. It does almost everything it attempts to do in excellent fashion, with a captivating world and enjoyable dungeons and puzzles. One of my favorite games of all time, and the 3DS version has helped greatly increase the relevance of the game

This game gets way too much hate. I get why the mission structure was controversial, but it was one that didn't hurt my experience greatly. It improves the locale variety, tool set options, and combat into incredibly positive directions - a nice improvement over 1 for me

I'll be honest, gen 1 is still my favorite generation, so I have a soft spot of the game. It's cryptic at times direction though has not aged well, along with its slower pace

I don't think Shovel Knight is nearly as good as people make it out to be, but it's still a solid platforming experience, with well made controls, nice pixel visuals, and unique environments

My favorite indie from the 3DS period - it feels a bit bland in retrospect now that 2 is out and far superior, but the western robot theme feels so fresh and creative, and the sense of progression and level design keeps the game interesting throughout its shorter campaign length. Insanely replayable though

Feel like i've greatly limited my experience by playing it on 3DS - solid platformer at best though

It's boring, confusing in design, and a terrible direction for the series. Mini games are fairly decent though, which makes the side modes a bit more bearable
