I respect the guts to evolve as a series. I loved exploring the hub worlds + the way the more scripted moments were interspersed. I wanted to love this and I think it's so close to greatness but fumbles in a couple of key areas. Due to the welcome innovations, I wouldn't call this a step backwards for the series at all, but there is certainly way more frustrating BS than the previous games. My playthrough was quite glitchy; the movement speed is fine for traversal, I appreciate the slower pace but the sluggish movements hamper combat; the load times are ridiculous on PS4, long conversations play out with everyone just standing still, etc. I also found myself missing the horror elements of the previous two games, though the ending of Exodus gets back into that territory.
