One super-neat trick for 8 hours. Alan Wake is just about the most miserable, self-serious fucker in games and I very much enjoy his company. After this and Control I'm very curious to play Alan Wake II.

So wonderfully atmospheric and ambitious. I can't wait to see what this team makes next.

Fun in small doses and it's absolutely gorgeous, but you do get the sense Insomniac ran out of ideas. There's a lack on enemy variety, and whilst the large open areas seem fun at first they don't amount up to much.

A fantastic title to test out your new machine and not much else.

Perhaps I'll pick this up again at another time, but for now I'm going to hold off until the (seemingly imminent) remake. I was loving the story and there were some cool gameplay ideas in there for sure, just the jank of it being a PSX game became too much for my peasant skill to handle. Oh well!

Played through all the stages with my housemates in one sitting. Definitely an all-time drunk/stoned classic.

A lot of fun at points, but almost everything this tried got implemented into Doom 16 and was 100 times better for it.

An astounding achievement, jankiness and all. Just imagine what it would have looked like with another 6-12 months of dev time.

Had a few gripes here and there, but overall I was just impressed with how much scope there was in this game. It felt surprisingly massive for an 8-bit indie title, both in terms of its open world and the choices you can make. Combat is a bit of a learning curve and I think a few missions broke when they weren't meant to, but they're to be expected in something this ambitious. Will most likely play through this one, just to see what other choices I could make.

Only played multiplayer, although I'm gonna go through the campaign some time soon.

Probably the best FPS multiplayer I've ever played. Just buttery smooth, exciting and constantly moving. There's nothing like it (Apex Legends is close, but no cigar).

The finest MMORPG of all time.

Smart and silly in equal measure.

A childhood favourite of mine, however the challenges that make up the core gameplay are just repetitive and tiresome after the opening area. What a shame

Fortnite isn't really a game anymore. It started out as one, but it isn't one now. It's a content delivery platform, so Disney can promote the new Marvel film on there, or Travis Scott can debut a new track. It's not about gameplay or developing stuff (see Apex for a more interesting and evolving spin on the Battle Royale formula), it's just an excuse to sell stuff. That being said, it's a pretty neat way to sell stuff.

Super charming adventure platformer with some great humour and fun puzzles. Doesn't outstay it's welcome either. Wonderful!

Quite a lot of fun, although I'd have loved to have seen a game set entirely on the ship. Best part of the whole thing imho.
