After coming off the back of Dead Space (2023), I expected Dead Space 2 to be naturally a little dated since it came out 12 years prior.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it played, and how much I enjoyed the story and mechanics.
Dead Space 2 has a much more sinister atmosphere and general psychological horror elements than its predecessor which I personally liked.
Its 9 hour playtime didn't feel too short as others have suggested. The story was tightly contained, and the dread going between save stations and upgrade benches often makes you hope you can just get to the next chapter ASAP
