Never got the true ending which seemed insanely tough, but basically beat all other content. This game was WAYYY better than I expected. Puzzley combat, and well designed interesting deck building. The one flaw of the game is that you can literally lose a run on one combat blunder, which can be frustrating. Overall, HIGHLY recommend to fans of the genre.

Not my style of game. Make a million decisions up front with no context about your character, go out and chat with people to gather quests, do the quests, gain generic loot which is identical to what you have, fight enemies in what is for the genre pretty excellent shooter combat, but compared to any actual shooter is ultra boring.

It is all fine. I see why people like it. To me, these types of games lack any sort of puzzling / strategy AND lack any sort of skill based gameplay. If I am going to play an RPG, I would much rather play something like Diablo with much much more interesting skill trees and loot. If I am going to play a shooter, I would much rather play an actual shooter with non-stop combat and interesting weapons or interesting tactics or interesting enemies.

It was good. Solid. Decent. I don't know! It was tedious. The puzzles were mostly convoluted "What order do you do this in?" type puzzles with occasional "Aha!" moments sprinkled in.

I guess it was a cool art style and some good mechanics but puzzle design was pretty mixed.

The ending I had some issues with the controls that dampened my opinions a bit, but it was still undeniably a cool ending.

Fantastic rogue-like deck builder. Wholly unique poker based gameplay. Combos are super fun and the game is super addicting.

Honestly, I expected more of the same. And yeah it is more of the same but it is much improved in every way.

The story is excellent and much more exciting (if not strictly better since the first one also has a very interesting philosophical story). The art and environments are way way prettier. And most importantly, the puzzles are much better and more consistently interesting. The first one's main problem is that it really dragged. Toward the end it had no new ideas and was just adding tedium rather than fun new puzzles. In this one, I never felt like a puzzle was tedious or repetitive or boring. I am somewhat shocked to be giving it the full 5 stars, but it was that good.

More Golden Idol. What's not to love?

This game is some kind of masterpiece. It just isn't quite like anything else I have played. It takes sim / city building games and makes them have massive variance from game to game and carefully considered strategy and an end goal.
To me, Against the Storm feels like a completely different game from anything that came before it and I love it.
My one criticism is that it is basically infinite, with no satisfying ending for semi-casual players.

This is a very highly polished portal experience. The puzzles are mostly pretty easy but not totally trivial. The plot is fine if not up to the hilarious high standards the portal games set.

My main criticism is that there is a lot of walking around aimlessly through environments between puzzles. Obviously they put a lot of time and effort into those environments but they added 0 to the fun of the game and just padded the game time. There were even several times when it wasn't obvious where to go next that I spent fumbling about just lost not even in a puzzle not even using my portal gun.

I also have one minor quibble about the last few puzzles that I won't elaborate on so as to avoid spoilers, but suffice it to say I had to redo parts of that puzzle that I had already solved many more times than any other puzzle before it.

One of if not the single best mod I have ever played. Very high quality in every way. Totally enjoyed.

Wonderful puzzle-ish detective-ish game. Exploring this weird tower and figuring out the languages is enthralling and very satisfying in the end.
I didn't love the stealth stuff and the game was occasionally tedious but the bright parts far outweigh those downsides. I loved this game and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

It was better than I expected. I had read that it was more like a demo than a game and took less than an hour to beat. With those expectations I still bought it and was very pleasantly surprised.
The mysteries were interesting, the mechanics solid, and it took me almost 3 hours. There were some annoying spots where I got stuck on mechanics I didn't understand or contradictions that I either tried at the wrong time or that didn't seem like contradictions at all based on my reading. All in all though, I am glad I tried it.

This is basically vanilla Hearthstone with a better theme and one tiny tweak on gameplay. It is insanely unoriginal and will not wow anyone who regularly plays these kinds of games.

I have about a dozen more complaints: The starter decks are garbage and it seems like it will be slow to level up collections. They used the exact draft mechanic from Runeterra which recently Runeterra literally turned off because it was a flop. There are cards which are directly superior to other cards, not even different races just directly worse vanilla cards to dilute the card pool. The "value" bundles are worse value than just buying packs.

But honestly the biggest complaint is just the blandness. How many Hearthstone clones have to fail before someone realizes that you need to actually innovate? I have played probably 6 or 7 Hearthstone clones at this point and honestly this may be the LEAST different. It seems like the designers of this game don't have an ounce of creativity which basically guarantees this game will fail.

I loved the aesthetic and liked the puzzles. I wish it had been a little more difficult or a little longer maybe? I felt challenged only really a couple times the entire game.
There were a couple parts that blew my mind where I got to the solution more on accident than by intention and was like "WHOA!"

Tough and sometimes unfair, but so unique and creative I give the few quibbles I have with the difficulty curve a pass. Absolutely worth playing for any puzzle game fan.

Short but excellent like the main game. Highly recommended to anyone looking for more.
