Suda combines everything he's worked on to mix it all up in his biggest game so far. The plot is fantastic, the music amazing and all the boss battles are fun and engaging. Not a single character design is bad, they all look great: And it has those classic NMH plot twists. Like all NMH games the side content is pretty grindy and a bit unimportant imo but the focus has always been on the crazy plot and interesting villains, which it excels at. Great game, must play for Suda fans
A step up from the last game with a better skills system, giving you more freedom on what to unlock. Being able to play as 4 different characters with distinct fighting styles makes it all the more fun, specially with the different kinds of heat actions and abilities they each have. I will say that the mechanic they introduce during Saejima's chapter is very annoying and just makes it a drag to move around town.
The plot is pretty good, although with some twists repeating themselves so much that it becomes comical at some point, but the many twists and turns makes it very engaging. Where the writing really stands out is with the characters, we already know who kiryu is, but delving into these 3 new characters is great, all of them have great personalities that lead to great moments during the plot and they're all very likeable. Personality-wise i liked Akiyama the most, but Saejima and Tanimura don't fall behind either. I specially loved everything that happened with Saejima in Purgatory (his speech + his meeting with a certain character).
Overall, another great entry in the Yakuza series, and i can't wait to keep following Kiryu and Haruka's story now with a new cast of amazing characters, surely none of these characters' VAs got caught using drugs and we will never see their character again.

"And in the end, what was your reward? You never said, but I think I know: a family."
So this is what happens when a bunch of libertarian nerds get together and do something.
The game was alright, the gameplay isn't bad by any means but it's nothing revolutionizing. I love the idea of Rapture and how it's presented but i wasn't really captured by the levels, i 100% would love to have a concept art book.
Plot wise it was pretty good but i kinda went in knowing Atlas wasn't a real person so it wasn't engaging enough, that is until it's revealed. I thought it was some Snowpiercer kinda thing (where the leader stages the revolt), so seeing the actual truth was really good SPECIALLY when they reveal the truth about the MC that was really unexpected so that + the good ending bump up the score to a 4/5.
And speaking of, the good ending is soooo good. watching the cinematic of you giving this poor girls the life you never had, letting them be normal after the hell they went through culminating in having a real family what perfect ending, like Dr Tenenbaum said: "a reward".
