I didn’t think I would enjoy this type of choose-your-own-adventure gameplay but this was really enjoyable. A quick, change of pace experience that will definitely have me picking up a few more Supermassive games.

I found this DLC to be a bit on the difficult side, focusing more on combat than additional narrative. Luckily it’s short, so if you’re a completionist or a trophy hunter it’s probably worth a quick play. I’d suggest using a guide just so you don’t miss anything and have to run through it a second time. If you’re coming to The Signal for more narrative, maybe watch a YouTube video about this one?

Another unique narrative experience from Remedy. Like I’ve said before in other Remedy reviews, their games are so narrative heavy that you’re either in it or you’re not, and I’m all the way in. The gameplay was fast and exciting, and the episodic segments helped to build on the world that Remedy is creating. A must play for anyone who enjoyed Control and Wake. The only thing that kept this from five stars is how it ran on the Xbox One. Some cg stuttering in cutscenes and noticeable load times. Fingers crossed that Remedy gets access to this game from Microsoft and maybe a release for current gen hardware

I’m in love with the Remedy sensibilities and the inspirations that their games wear on their sleeves. Having played Alan Wake just before Control, the shared universe and growth of the gameplay and story complexity brought a smile to my dumb face. Of course the world Remedy is playing in won’t be for everyone, but it definitely hits hard with me. Excellent game, can’t wait to see what Remedy brings in the future.

Wow. I absolutely loved the narrative and the format in which it was told. The episodic structure made me want to discuss and theorize what was happening and what would happen in next week’s episode. Much like obsessing over the latest HBO Original Series. (Unfortunately none of my friends are playing this game so I theorized with myself) However, this remaster is far from perfect, especially in the gameplay. The combat here succeeded in creating tension and suspense, but ultimately felt shallow as the game went on. Puzzle solving to navigate the environment was very enjoyable and could’ve been utilized more in place of an excessive amount of villainous waves lacking variety. Overall a very enjoyable experience that has me very excited for Control and Alan Wake 2. Definitely recommend and it may even warrant a second play through for me on Nightmare difficulty to snag those extra manuscript pages.

One of my favorite Zelda titles made even better by the HD Remaster. Excellent story and the combat feels perfect. Looks as stunning as ever, and playing with the gamepad was a delight.

Excellent Samurai action and story. Felt like a Red Dead meets Assassin’s Creed and managed to not overstay its welcome. Maybe a bit bloated with side quests but definitely not as egregious as most. Highly recommend
