Whew what a ride! It will definitely go down as the most divisive part of the Remake trilogy. If you're not on board with this one you probably won't be on board for the next one. There are definitely pacing issues. Every time you turn around there's a mini-game. A lot of them are not very well thought out mechanically and tying the platinum to them was a choice for sure. That being said there's a lot to love here and some of that same magic from Remake is here in spades. We focus primarily on the characters throughout Rebirth and God do I love these weirdos. It took a while to get back into the swing of things but the combat is so good. Dynamic mode is a bit of a mixed bag as some fights are a breeze and some fights will beat your ass. All in all I enjoyed myself and I can't wait to see where exactly this story is going.
