i almost cried, it's crazy how much of a difference fully voiced social links makes, the cast and dialogue is sooooo much better than p5r and even if tartarus isn't as fun as palaces it's nowhere near as bad as you'd think, can't wait for the answer in september i should finally play 4 in the meantime frfr!!

Already knew what the ending was and still ended up crying anyways. This game while being a remake still hits in whole new ways from when I played Persona 3 FES.

If there is a way to describe Persona 3 Reload from my perspective it is simply “beautiful” the game is simply beautiful and perfect it is the definitive version of persona 3 although that does not mean that the original is unplayable the original game is still playable although the Gameplay can be somewhat "difficult", especially if you want the AI to do exactly what you want and then not care and start doing what it wants.
What I liked most about Reload was the expansion of the characters, more than anything Ryoji, the reason why I say this is that in the original he is an important character, yes, but there was almost no connection with the protagonist, making him more than anything else. to force to reveal that it is nyx, in Reload I liked that they expanded the relationship with the protagonist more it is optional if you can skip it if you want, but I liked that they did that.
And it would be all the positive things about Reload, I don't say anything about the story since well it's the same but it doesn't mean that in Reload there are things that I didn't like.
What I am going to say is more than anything, it is a single negative thing about Reload that is something minimal for anyone who sees it. It may be something, let's say minimal, but it is something that cannot be overlooked.
The first negative thing is that the companions who are controlled by the AI cannot use the shift mechanics, the vast majority will surely say “bro, can't you just use direct orders and that's it?” Yes, I would use it, but only in boss fights. From Persona 3 Portable to Persona 5 Royal, I have used direct orders only and exclusively in the game's bosses on normal enemies. I see the point in spending time using direct orders if I can simply let the bots order and I don't know how Atlus, I can't implement the shift with the bots since it is the same mechanic as the Batton Pass in Persona 5 and in that game the bots do change partners, which makes me wonder how it is possible that Atlus can't make a mechanic that was already well implemented but "or surprise we didn't add it because we had problems or we forgot" I repeat, they are minimal things that do not affect the gameplay at all but a thing this small is something that cannot be ignored high.
And that would be all I can say about Reload. It's a beautiful and perfect game and for anyone who wants to try Persona 3 Reload, give it a chance. It's a game with a captivating story and a nice moral at the end of the story that you better discover. on your own.

Its just a masterpiece man, i can explore tartarus 24/7 and still wouldnt get bored 🙏

how dare they make a genuinely incredible remake of one of my favorite games

Nearly a perfect game, easily my personal favorite from the modern Persona trilogy.

Persona 3 is extremely consistent with its themes, and character arcs with meaning and payoff outside of the MC is something that is sorely missing from its successors.

For me though, Reload loses points due to missing the mark on capturing the atmosphere of original P3. A couple of the new cutscenes felt like direct downgrades when compared to the tight, stylized animated cutscenes in the original release. The over-saturated colors really do not suit the game, with the absolute worst offender being the final boss.

95 hours marks my completion of the main game story. I definitely plan on doing some NG+ eventually in order to complete the persona compendium, beat the reaper, fuse Messiah and max all of the social links since I didn't finish 2.

But I loved it, the 2nd half flew by. The last 3 blocks of tartarus had phenomenal visual designs and the music, which was already good, only got better in the 2nd semester and then again in January. Late game persona fusing was a ton of fun and I never minded the dungeon grinding at all. There was some pretty solid social link stories and I may have romanced 5 girls in one run lmaoo. Aigis' character arc got VERY good near the end, and the actual ending of the game was phenomenal. The Nyx fight was cool, but the events and conclusion afterwards have left me emotional.

Episode Aigis, I await you.

Persona 3: Reload is one of the best, if not the best remake I've ever seen. They upgraded absolutely everything from the original game. The gameplay is the same as the other Persona games, with social links and turn-based battles, so there's nothing new to add in that regard. However, gameplay was never the strong point of any Persona game; it's always been the story. And just like in the original, the story is spectacular in Persona 3: Reload. It's undoubtedly the best Persona game ever made.

All the main characters are interesting, each with their own unique traits, and you can see the change and growth of the characters throughout the game. The ending breaks all expectations. The only thing I would criticize is that they sold The Answer as separate DLC, which was a terrible move on their part. I hope that when they release the Persona 4 remake, they don't release Golden separately afterward. Hopefully, this take ages like fine wine.
