Just some spectacular fun in the most greasy way possible. The MS paint pizzeria aesthetic really sells its identity well as this oily cheesy run and jump fun that you can really feel with the slippery yet responsive controls. Despite being a 2D platformer, I would definitely recommend using an analog stick to perform more precise inputs. Every stage in this game is so distinct in its level design, theme and gimmicks, yet they're all so wondrously huge that you’re really getting your $10 worth out of these 28 stages. Then there are the bosses, possibly the most exciting and exhilarating boss battles I’ve ever played for a 2D platformer where they perfectly ride the balance between challenge and fun. Seeing they’re goofy expressions while I pummel each unique boss is such a high, and this high is brought to its absolute height with the amazing final boss which is essentially the greatest boss rush ever conceived. Issa mastepees.

A truly, astonishingly remarkable experience from beginning to end, but how did straight boys play this game in the nineteen goddamn nineties and not melt like the Wicked Witch of the West?! Perhaps the single most homoerotic work of fiction that I have ever consumed, Metal Gear Solid is the story of queer men who can only express affection and desire for one another through ostentatious displays of sensualized violence. This is my first Hideo Kojima game but it certainly won't be my last.

Never listen to the haters this was the coolest expansion also pvp was at its best.

Honestly not as good as the first one but that may be because the first one is the perfect Spider-Man experience and this is basically the first one again with some improved gameplay so it doesn't really feel like a new experience but it does have a few little differences that are enough to set it apart. The story isn't as good and feels a little rushed in certain parts but the symbiote is always cool as hell and I love Venom. This game is also missing many features from the first two like NG+(????????), changing the time of day after completing the story and there is currently no way to re-listen to any of the podcasts that play in the open world. They stop playing when you enter combat so if you are swinging around listening and a crime spawns under you I guess you are missing out on this one??? Overall it is still a very fun game and I will be replaying on Ultimate when they eventually add that NG+ 😁😁

You wanna know whats really crazy? Just think of how much is going on in MGS2 as a game. The AI systems, the complexity of mechanics, the variety of unique interactions, and even the quantity of random details. This game was made in 2001, why does it feel like games are somehow less impressive 20+ years later?

This is an absurd product. I might finish this later out of curiosity/my history with the series, but this is definitely not a good game. Made it to main quest like 19/49 and had enough for now.

Cool Things About this Game:

- Eikon battles are a sort of unique spectacle
- Some good tracks
- Battling feels good and boss fights can be pretty tense
- The Attack on Titan Eikon system in the world

Bad Things About This Game

- Sidequests.
It's beat to death in the reactions to this game but it feels like these were put in as a bet or something. The first quest is literally bringing a piece of wood 20 feet. I was genuinely wondering if it was parody or something. I almost liked them because of how insanely bad they are.

- Dumb haptic stuff
This is not really bad in and of itself but when my controller vibrates after Clive puts an item in his pouch... I dunno it's just so fucking stupid.

- The Game of Thrones for Babies dialogue/tone/story
Game of Thrones is already "Game of Thrones for Babies". This is a level below that and it is real, real fucking bad. The dialogue is abysmal and the tone is just trash-tier grimdark.

- The presentation
Maybe I was hallucinating but the cutscenes look like shit? Half the characters look like shit? They said they mo-capped the English actors but the lips don't sync to the dialogue? Usually I wouldn't give a shit but this is clearly a cinematic game so ya gotta give me a cinematic presentation. I have played three Yakuza games and this looks like trash in comparison.

-Lack of Diversity
Honestly we don't even need to get into the politics here. The immediate problem is you will be looking at the most boring fucking white people you have ever seen outside of the main cast. Even some of them!

- Battle System at large
Three flavors here:
1. Regular enemies: mash button
2. Regular bosses: dodge, heal, mash button with some strategy
3. Eikon: Have fun with the light cinematic presentation and button prompts

#1 is most of the game and boring.
#2 is pretty fun but not especially deep
#3 is cool but absurd. Like we have lightly interactive cinema... I mean... they could have just programmed in some better Kaiju stuff? That's not trivial but if it's gonna be the main point of the game we could make it a bit more engaging.

-Frictionless Main Story Gameplay Progression
I was kinda enjoying my time but I realized it was just because this game is so easy to play. Follow the marker to the red tab, mash buttons, read dialogue, repeat. If boss shows up, mash buttons but be smarter. I could stomach this type of system if the story was super cool. It ain’t!

There’s a lot more!
I found this to be an utterly baffling product. I absolutely hated it at first, then I think I started to like it because of how bad it was… then I started hating it again because of how bad it was.

Disappointing. I knew not to expect much from a game that went through the kind of development hell FFXV did, but I was still hopeful there would be something redeeming here. There's not. First, it doesn't feel like a flagship FF game. Second, it's just a bad game all around. It feels rushed and incomplete. Combat is awful, I'm amazed people think it's good. The open world is barren and uninteresting unless you like finding gas stations. Story is beyond bad.

im putting one star until he adds this back to the app store!!! share to spread the message guys :)

EDIT: my fault i put half a star

The first fighting game I ever played, and one of the first games that I fell in love with hard. But pure nostalgia doesn’t automatically grant you five stars, the game itself has a ton of style and character, with gameplay so vast that I’m still learning new things to this day. Not to mention the variety of side modes, Tekken Ball and Tekken Force are still iconic.

a substantial improvement over xenoblade 3s base game in basically every way, unfortunately, xenoblade 3's gameplay just isnt very fun to me so it cant really push itself above "pretty good"

EDIT
I changed my mind its bad
