I know this game like the back of my hand. I have replayed it... Man I think it's getting closer to 45-50 times? This is the best strategy game I have ever played. I know for a fact I've probably put more than 100+ hours into it, and it never gets old.
It's story isn't nearly as amazing as the game that came before, with it having an antagonist I... Really don't like much, but with the single best gameplay in any game I've ever played, it's easy to overlook.
And granted it's still a Rance game, so it's story is still a cut above the rest. Especially the true route, with the main heroine and her struggle hitting home for me.
Really the only problem I have with this game (aside from the main antagonist) is the Nanjou Ran route, which just doesn't have what made the other routes so amazing. It's probably the weakest point in the entire series for me. But the weakest point being not really all that bad goes to show how amazing this series really is.

The story and characters of this are simply fantastic. If I have a problem though, it would be that the difficulty curve is way too bs, with it going from easy to normal to insanely hard way too fast.
I can overlook it because the characters are just too great (especially Gou), but just expect to be reloading a lot.

Most of what I said about 4.1 applies here also. I like this one more because it has Wenlina in it though.
Also I somehow beat the final boss with only Athena being able to fight. I just thought that was funny.

I liked this, but before the Windows compatibility patch game out I'm unsure if I could have fully recommended it. Nowadays I do think it is worth a go just because it and 4.2 are so short, and they're pretty solid overall, if mostly just filler that serves to develop Athena more.

It's okay. Like it's gameplay is pretty wack, but I can't be too hard on it considering it was one of the first eroge ever. I wish I played this one first though because I feel like if I played all the games in order it would be my favorite series ever. Love Sill in this.

I had the iOS version of this game and played it when waiting for class to start one day in middle school. I remember the graphic description of how a character ripped their own throat out made me feel so sick that I threw up and got to go home that day.
