Have you ever missed out on an obvious masterpiece that people sung their praises over upon release, only for you to pick it up and love it some years later?
It happened to me a few times before. Cuphead, Hollow Knight, Rain World... and now this game.

Yoshi’s Story, but without the gameplay quirks that make Yoshi’s Story good. I should have known better than to be hyped for it as a kid.

This game feels like a middle stage of the uncanny Mr. Incredible meme. The gameplay is as good as ever, but the presentation is just wrong.
Giving the game a definite score is difficult. Don’t be surprised if I fluctuate between 4 and 4.5 stars, and keep moving it to different spots on my relevant lists.
