Haven't played something as narratively disorienting since Paratopic, which seems like a clear influence on this game's approach to time and perspective. Great stuff for what it sets out to do. Excelent atmosphere and vibes as well. Just wish it gave me more to chew on horror wise... Even Paratopic remembered that you need some sort of payoff at the end (even if said payoff is a jumpscare that has you shrieking "what the fuck" a bit-too-loudly-for-your-own-good at your poor computer screen).

one step at a time
i can make it home

One of the best point-and-clicks out there. Really scratched that itch from my preteen years, where I played the shit out of games like Monster Basement 2 or Exmortis. This one's vibe is very much its own, but the feeling of gruesome unravelling is very much present, and done in such a beautifully attentive way... When you glimpse the horror, it's already much too late. Great ending as well, I just can't praise it enough.

Yeah, I'm just not in the mood for this one I'm afraid... Good game however, really great stuff.

You smiled, it was convincing

"You're among wolves now. And these are our woods."

Usually have no patience for these run-and-gun type of affairs, but I found the writing here so captivating it had me hooked from beginning to end. BJ goes immediately to my Mount Rushmore of favorite action protagonists of any medium. One of the most punk FPSs I've had the pleasure to play, and goes way beyond what one would expect from the usual Wolfenstein game, even compared with its predecessor. I know some people feel mixed on it, but this was totally my shit through and through.

this game gets me: i have crohn's disease so i'm also terrified of milk

THIS IS THE TYPE OF SHIT THAT MAKES ME GET UP IN THE MORNING!

If were ever to get into BDSM, this would be my preferred method of torture.

Holy shit, this was sick. Haven't played a mystery point-and-click in ages and this one really hit the spot. Besides one particular case I thought was bullshit, everything else was immense fun. Probably should play more of these in the future, they're such a nice break of pace.

Yeah, I think I'm dropping it, at least for now. For all of the critical acclaim this has gotten over the years, I was left stunned by how poorly written the whole thing really is. It's a story about fighting people who abuse their power and make other people's lives miserable. It's also a game where every interaction is gamefied to the point of making literally all relationships purely transactional. The whole thing collapses under its own message because it never practices what it preaches. It's a pity, because the game underneath that is really fucking good. But I'm done forcing myself to move through narrative quicksand. Oh well...

It's awful and I kinda dug it.

It's an 18 year old dose of overclocked cocaine straight in the nostrils. Don't know how Suda51 comes up with these sorts of ideas, but we would be missing so much if he didn't.

Man, what a great time this was! Take the usual Amnesia shenanigans, the randomness factor of a roguelite, the there-and-back-again attitude of metroidvanias, throw them into a six hour pot, and boom! You get a survival horror masterclass. Clever, clever game.

A genuine gem, charming from beginning to end. Nails its basic premise in every way possible, and offers an interesting narrative to boot. Glad to have finally played it.
