This is a game for Resident Evil fans, by Resident Evil fans. It's pretty amazing in the most bizarre way possible. Literally making a game based on the inventory management system in Resident Evil 4. The instant you start the game you get "Save Room" spoken by a man with a voice like a blender full of gravel imitating the Resident Evil title screen announcements, the music that plays is almost exactly like the save rooms in the original game. I found it all pretty hilarious just how much they didn't even pretend it was anything more than it was.

I can't tell if the idea is genius or madness. Considering I bought it knowing exactly what I was getting, messaged a friend about it who then also bought it I'm going to lean towards the former.

Anyway, the game is a puzzle game with 40 levels of fitting all the items into the allocated item box in squares like a graph paper grid. This game gives no tutorials, just throws you in and though simple it does seem to expect players to be familiar with combining herbs and reloading guns, it knows exactly who it's audience is. This game is not hard and I would say due to it's nature pretty limiting. It does slowly introduce some mechanics where you have to damage yourself to eat food to create more space, combine gunpowder types to create ammo to load guns etc.

My issue is there could have been more variety to the case shapes, guns or combinations to flesh it out more though it would have moved out of the exact Resident Evil item usage it was really imitating. Due to this though it hinders itself and by the 40th level it has become incredibly rote, stale and repetitive. Fortunately the game is very short but even in that time by the end I had had enough.

There are many minigames in titles I'd wanted as full titles, Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII for example or Resident Evil's own Mercenaries mode with characters and levels across the franchise in a PVE co-op. While those came into existence though it was more of a Monkey Paw resulting in a gacha mobile game and Handheld only title a game based on inventory management never was on the list but I am glad I played it and appreciate this kind of weirdness.

It's cheap, easy and silly. If you're a Resident Evil fan it's worth giving a go.

Some of the games vignettes get into weird fetish territory and it is weirdly offputting for an otherwise decent golfing game. A huge caddy fell on me because I shrunk. I just assume that's what happens in golf I guess.
