A game I had ups and downs with for the first 10 hours or so but ultimately came around to once I found my groove. I absolutely love the the exploration and traveling the world felt unlike much else I had played at the time. While the would get amplified in the sequel nothing else quite captured the feeling of watching the sun rise over the mountain as I head to the desert. A completed opposite feeling I had when I first played the game as I really did not like the changes they had made to the series's linear pathing. Once the "story" picked up and the world opened up even more I ended up enjoying it a lot.
My only issue with the game were the dungeons, while I liked some of the puzzles they just felt very bare compared to games of the past. To me this game is about the exploration and why I loved it in the end.

A very basic jrpg with good music and maybe one of Working Designs funniest translations. The story splits in two and it's a shame as the second part isn't bad but they pacing really changes at that point. Another odd problem I had with it was how slow everything felt, especially the battles. It seemed like some content must have been cut out or unfinished as there are places that seemed empty or of no use.
Overall I liked this game as it was pretty mellow but there is not much wow factor here and it's a very run of the mill jrpg.

I love the series a lot and it was great to go back and see where it started. It still holds up in a lot of ways but does feel a bit dated if you're coming to this after playing its sequels. The characters are interesting though I found the "castle" to not be as interesting as the sequels. If you're looking for an above average jrpg for the console this is an enjoyable one but I still liked the sequels better.
I can't really add more than what people have already said about this game over the years. I played this modded with the SNES sounds and it felt like the perfect experience. I originally played this on the PS1 but never got far enough until I finished this version. The characters, music, art, summons, and a ton of other things are amazing.
I did find the latter half of the game to have a bit of odd side stuff but it still blended into the game well. I really liked the different perspectives you got from playing the different characters over the course of the game and I wish more FF titles did it like that.

Probably my favorite Persona game I've played, though I have not gotten around to the first two. I enjoyed it when it first came out and I really like what they did with this. It has a somewhat slow start but once it gets moving it moves. It's more lighthearted than 5 even though it looks darker in many ways.
The only thing I honestly had an issue with was the music, it would've been nice to have a bit more vareity as some songs got waaaaaay too repetitive.

As someone who liked the anime as a kid and seeing this had a translation I figured I'd give it a shot. It's a very bare bones strategy game where instead of gaining exp you level up by defeating a set number of enemies. The stages are fairly small but it's understandable as the battles are grand like other games of the genre. There is an over world where you walk to the next stage.
I really like the pixel art in this game and I felt like it was a nice little nod to the anime. Is it worth playing if you're a Tenchi fan? Maybe though it is fairly short and simple. If you're a strategy fan I'd say there quite a few other games on the console that are better.

I liked that this game was just fun and that it was not to be taken seriously. While it never gets super deep or interesting it was fun chomping on stuff for a bit. Game is pretty short but it's a fun pick up for 10 minutes and put back down kind of game. A great budget game if you can find it cheap.

As a fan of vanillaware games and strategy games I knew I'd enjoy this title. While I found the story to be okay and definitely not as strong as their previous game 13 Sentinels it did well for what it was trying to do.
I think the high point of the game is the gameplay, what starts out very easy ramps up slowly and ultimately gets a bit tricky towards the end was awesome. The gameplay loop of picking units, sending them to battle, and reaping the rewards was such a comforting loop that I kept wanting to play more. Setting units up with their skills and equipment was kinda overwhelming after awhile but the optimize button helps in a pinch for some of the less useful units. Some of the fights were huge and I would have loved to see more of them but honestly I was happy with most of the fights. If you want a game with an addicting loop and not an intensive story then try the demo, you can play up to 7 hours of it.

A content heavy rpg that I loved very much. As a big fan of the series in general I was interested how it would play turn based and it pulled it off well. While the sequel definitely expands on all of it's features really well I love the innocence that Ichiban has in this game. Seeing him grow over the span of the game was nice as I feel like in many modern rpgs you don't see or feel it as much.
As a fan of vanillaware games I knew I just wanted to see the art and enjoy the game second. What unfolded story wise really surprised me and I ended up loving this game more than I thought I would. The RTS sections were enjoyable and the characters were all interesting and seeing it all come together was fantastic. I highly recommend if the game looks appealing to you.

I beat this game when it came out and really liked it a lot. I got why people were frustrated about but the bugs and glitches didn’t happen that often for me. I recently replayed it for the dlc and to see what’s new in 2.0 and it was quite an experience. I truly loved exploring this world and just vibin to the music. Sitting in a cab listening to the banter was a nice break from the chaos that would break soon. It is a great game that I think many should experience.
