Finally, they’re starting to make games more like Hades

more like ... dark souls poo (it rhymes with 2, please laugh at this)

literally no other character reveal moment has got me as hyped as sam lake(or alex casey or max payne or whatever) just kinda chilling in the passenger seat. avengers endgame portals scene has nothing on this

Amazing from start to finish. I've never felt this tense playing a video game before this. I'm not into horror, but I'm very into this.

they should make a sequel to this and call it "sekiro: shadows die twice" or something idk

The perfect expansion to an already fantastic game

Can’t believe they made Zelda wait on Link again but it’s thousands of years instead of a hundred.

If zelda just swallowed my secret stones instead none of this would have happened

(it all still would have happened, I'm just saying I want my balls in her mouth)

What a fantastic game (when it works)

Pros:
- ADA WONG
- Combat feels better than ever
- og RE4s bones are so good that it'd be hard not to enjoy

Cons:
- all the new elements they introduce (stealth, parrying, etc.) are neat but could be so much more with a game that builds around them instead of just being thrown in
- it didn't whiff on capturing the ogs tone as hard as expected, but it certainly doesn't hit it
- they do so much in the beginning to change how every character interacts with Ashley then somehow fall back into making it creepy by the end. What were they thinking???

All that being said... ADA WONG

Man, I think I just played one of the most beautiful - and frustrating - games ever

i think both it's incredible strength and it's unfortunate weakness is how esoteric the mystery actually is.

I was absolutely floored during the opening hour of Immortality, in awe of how much substance there was to chew on - to unearth "what happened to Marissa Marcel." But i quickly felt my enthusiasm wane the more i scrubbed on. Many of the questions i thought i was answering veiled behind imagery in the frame didn't really lead anywhere fruitful, and that felt a little disappointing.

Maybe that's the point -- Immortality knows that i'm begging for more as i try to satisfy my theories. They're able to get away with it since the tellling of it's narrative is so good. There just wasn't enough bite beneath it all to really stick with me.

And yet, i still can't help thinking about what happened to Marissa Marcel...
