Jeancotta10 finished Mega Man 5
Megaman V FINISHED! 9/10 I will evaluate it based on the time it was released and the difficulties at that time it was normal to increase the longevity of games, not everyone in the 90s could have games to buy whenever they wanted like it is these days, what it's like to buy an indie for 10 reais or 20 even a AAA game on the eshop or Steam emulators didn't even exist and this game is from 1992 but it has very beautiful pixel art!

I take back what I said about the first game being difficult, the first Megaman may even have poorly positioned platforms, but in 5 this was overcome, the most annoying thing is the respawn of enemies, just turn 1 millimeter of the screen and they reappear, there were many times when I lost a life That's why... since there are several levels that appear in just 1 centimeter of screen time, Megaman's jump animation is canceled when he takes damage, which occasionally causes me to fall straight into a cliff or spikes, and so, this was quite common in games from the 8 Bit era.

Flickering is quite common to the point of having some areas that had so many enemies that you could see how the Nes struggled to run the game, the Boss battles in the game are challenging, I noticed how heavy they were, the weak weapons I thought were good part was almost useless the Power Stone is literally USELESS! the weaknesses did not cancel the boss's action but if Megaman takes damage his animation is cancelled... and Charge Man is by far the most unbearable Boss! The good thing is that some phases can find the Tanks that you use to recover your HP, depending on the phase, you can find 2 to 3 Tanks.

Each level you can find a letter they form the title of the game MEGAMAN V but I recommend it AT ALL COSTS! Get them at any cost! They are not difficult to find, I found them all just by walking between the stages and looking where I was going, if you collected them you release Beat a partner who will help you with support, he is a partner who is the weakness of some boss robots that appeal to you You won't have any headaches from facing them, but with Beat you'll have to worry about just deflecting attacks.

Megaman V was a good experience, I played it through the virtual console on my Nintendo Wii, I didn't use Save State and I had a total of 7:03 hours of gameplay, I just played until I won and saw the credits, I wanted to experience what it's like to be frustrating time where we even tried to defeat the final boss and watch the credits, it was countless game overs, but I'm happy that with Megaman it's not the end of the world to have a game over but just return to the beginning of the level or choose to return to the selection screen of Boss, what were there games from the 80s to 90s where they gave you 2 to 5 lives, some didn't even continue... to make you try to reach zero, but these games don't even waste my time, it's one thing to be a boss and enemies challenging and frustrated that you were losing, but losing all your progress after so much effort was frustrating to the point that you never wanted to play again! Since it was a frustration due to the game developers and programmers, I highly doubt they would finish these games, but with Megaman I didn't lose all my progress so I could have waited until I beat that enemy.

But then I only recommend you play Megaman 5 if you're looking for a challenge or are a fan of classic Megaman like me, it was a fun experience and defeating Wily was quite fun too.

Jeancotta10 finished Sonic the Hedgehog
Master System Sonic 1 FINISHED! 9/10 yes I'm evaluating it with the limitations of the time and for a Master System game it's beautiful!

I took a bit of a beating because it had been over 15 years since I played, but this time I finally managed to get all 6 Chaos emeralds. The game has good gameplay, Sonic moves well, the deaths I had were mostly due to my error and some others were due to Real game... for example, a phase of climbing the waterfall, the screen goes up because I wasn't paying attention, I ended up touching the place where the game considers a cliff but I could still see a bit of the platform, others are the classic system of being thrown away When being hit by an enemy or projectile, I often lost my life because I was thrown into a classic game hole from the 90s.

The game has its limitations such as Flickering where several sprites start to blink due to having too much information on the screen.

Regarding the music, they are remarkable! Yuzo Koshiro's compositions are excellent! There isn't a song that I don't like in this game, they're all good.

It was fun to play this Master System classic again, it's cool to see how creative these games are because Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive came first, just after this one on the Master System and even though only 2 stages have similar Mega Drive themes, they are both different adventures. which makes each version more striking.

Jeancotta10 finished Wonder Boy
Wonder Boy FINISHED! 7/10 I have vague memories of Wonder Boy, I played it as a child but I never managed to beat it, and to be honest, my childhood self from that time would never be able to finish this game! It's because? Basically he is difficult!

I managed to finish it in 3:57 hours! The game is from 1987, literally a historical game and one of the adaptations of Sega's Arcade machines in the 80s, the version I played was the Master System version using the Wii's virtual Console service, the Master System version is very faithful Here we control a little boy blonde named Tom-Tom who is after an evil villain who stole his girlfriend Tania is an 80s/90s cliché? It is! But for a game that was born in arcades, many of them were just to create a backstory because at the time Score was more important.

A curious fact is that the creator of Wonder Boy created the game because he found Super Mario too punishing and didn't like the movement, even though he understood Mario's popularity and importance, he wanted to create a game with better gameplay, in my opinion. about this Wonder Boy it is a very fun game I admit that I would play it more than Nes' Super Mario, Tom-Tom's gameplay is slippery but functional for a 1 mega Master System cartridge it did what the levels were supposed to do They're cute but that's what they have few variations.

Wonder Boy uses themes of rock caves, forests, ice caves but many of them feel like they are variations of the same stage with changed enemies and objects, it even has stages at night or in a volcanic area with a volcano spitting out rocks and the sky changing from color to red even a waterfall and river area.

Each zone has 4 acts and in the fourth there is a Boss where you throw your small axes at the Boss's head when you defeat it you lose a head and a new one is born, the boss is easy and doesn't have many difficulties, as it is a game ported from arcades is very well done! There are even new phases.

The difficulty is steep! Often with very well placed enemies and traps SERIOUSLY! some are made out of evil! You start the game with 3 lives, losing is game over! But a positive point is that the game has infinite continues so you can continue your game and return to the beginning of the phase you were in, but just being able to continue playing is something to be praised in the 80s/90s there were a lot of very punishing games, many of them super difficult and lives limited to 2 to 3 and there were many games that didn't even have to continue!

The game's music is OK, nothing too memorable, the theme song is always played! And after a while it starts to feel agonizing because there is little variation in the 4th act, which is the boss zone, it changes and a new song is introduced in the fight against the boss, but a variation would be welcome, many Master System games had this, Sonic was an example of that!

Wonder Boy is a game that brings me nostalgia, but that's because I played it but never managed to finish it as a child and I only did it as an adult, it was a fun experience! But I admit that playing a game that has no credits is strange... many games like Wonder Boy is a game that ran on Arcade machines and Score was the important thing and when you finish you only receive a thank you message and the game ends and you can start a new game.

Wonder Boy is a long game! And you can't save, few games at that time had the option to save on cartridges so you had to take some free time to be able to reset, of course nowadays with emulators they have save states but at the time they didn't have that.

Jeancotta10 finished Monster World IV
Monster World IV FINISHED! 10/10 one of the best 2D platform and action-adventure games I've ever played, it's a rare gem from the Mega Drive, the game was exclusive to Japan, but received an official translation on the Wii Virtual Console, and yes, I had to use alternative means to play the game, its producer is called Westone Bit was responsible for producing the game but unfortunately the studio went bankrupt in 2014 and the one who currently has the rights to the series is Sega since the game belongs to the Wonder Boy franchise, I hope this game comes in the future for the Nintendo Switch Online service it cannot be missed!

In Monster World IV you control Asha she is a girl with green hair she ends up hearing the spirits whispering in the wind begging for help coming from the Monster World, so Asha embarks on a journey to find and help them. In the adventure our heroine gets an egg that becomes her friend Blue Pepelogoo, a race that was exterminated and many people destroyed it for fear of its special powers, even though they are peaceful, the gameplay of the game changes with each dungeon as your Pepelogoo grows and gameplay is changing due to this, the fights are fun but not impossible or complicated to the point of frustration, since the save points are limited if the game is over you come back from the last save point, and the biggest challenge is just for you to survive the whole the dangerous dungeon path full of traps and enemies.

The pixel art in this game is very beautiful! They are great, something that many Mega Drive games have always highlighted, Asha's facial expressions and movements are very visible! It was a fun adventure, as I love chasing obscure and old games, it was a pleasant experience and I honestly highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good 2D platform game like me. Regarding the playing time, it was about 9:10 hours of gameplay.

Jeancotta10 finished A Short Hike
The Short Hike Finished! I easily give it a 10/10, the game delivers everything it proposes! here you sit and forget your problems you play to relax, explore a small archipelagos of islands and here we explore with our protagonist called Claire a bird girl who came from the big city to spend a season together with her aunt in a natural park full of lakes ,vegetation and nature in abundance the game has an objective which is to go to Pico do Gavião to make a phone call, since at the top of the mountain it is the only place where there is a telephone signal, to climb the layers of the mountains you need to collect some feathers gold which would be a stamina in the game, there are about 20 of them throughout the game, to acquire them is by doing activities such as buying these feathers or finding them on the map randomly or helping people in the park such as playing in a race, playing a type of volleyball beach but with a stick or help finding a lost item, the more I explored those small islands the more I felt in that little world, where all the NPCs are there to simply relax and enjoy nature and everyone is charismatic.

With Short Hike you don't need to rush, play at your pace! you don't have a world to save, you don't have a super powerful villain to stop forget your problems your anxieties it's a short game but the small activities like completing the fish encyclopedia is fun collecting all the golden feathers it's rewarding, the soundtrack is beautiful TOO MUCH! or maybe you can take a boat trip on the island until you fly over it! Helping park visitors brings a sense of duty done and brings that sweet taste of having helped someone who was in trouble and being grateful for it. It was one of the best experiences I've had playing an indie game, the only downside is that it's short! But play it is a game that I recommend for all ages.

Jeancotta10 finished Little Noah: Scion of Paradise
Little Noah: Scion of Paradise FINISHED! 8/10 is a challenging Roguelite! but not unfair to the player, so the more you lose, you can redo your exploration but when you lose a match, your item becomes Mana which is used to repair your ship, where when repairing an area you gain attributes or an extra item to begin with. a game with an advantage, these upgrades are permanent help in the next exploration of the dungeons, Noah's adventure is not over, making it clear that a new game is coming in the future, Noah is a very pretty and cute girl and very chatty, something I love is seeing the protagonist that talk and interact, and here's to the next adventures of the cute alchemist!
