Freshly frosted is a refreshing puzzling experience, in every level there is something new and differrent, there's always some form of increment to the games ideias, all of that packed up with some delicious presentation makes for a great time (and also wanting donuts, badly)

Pikmin is the closest i've come to define a rts game "cozy" because in some points it is, it is so relaxing to explore the worlds, find more pikmins, complete the objectives, find some fruit, build bridges and all, even splitting up squads in multiple screens works well enough and for the most part it was a pleasant experince.

The only downsides are that for this micro management to works unfortunately the pikmins ai should be way smarter, like not drowning intentionally for instance, that with the boss fights that are just plain boring were the downs of the game.

Even so it's a interesting take on the rts genre and a nice experience overall

Desta is a great combination of gampelay ideas , using dodgeball in a turn base combate makes for some fun times, using the scenario to kick the ball back and fort, pass between your teammates is so much fun. The narrative is also well thought , as for one of ustwo previous game, it brings a modern theme with such care that is nice to see it.

However, the game "Roguelike" mechanic is basically a permadeath one, when you have to restart the game from the beginning , that means rewatch all the narrative and that breaks the game loop and narrative beats, it's such a shame, a great game IF you manage to not die during it

Deathloop is arkane's newest take on the imersive sim genre and as such it comes with tons and tons of improvements on the gameplay after dishonored that fells only natural.

As someone who primarily plays stealth deathloop provides with a vast arsenal of options and even though you can't quick load i didn't had to, because the games system evolved in such form that if i alerted some enemies it was fine to just gun some of then and them resume my stealth activities without ruining anything. Playing this game in whichever of the many forms you choose makes for so much fun that marks this as arkane's best gameplay yet.

Cole and Juliana are just brilliant, every talk between then, every piece of narrative you discover adds up so much, the style, narrative drops and world building is also stellar, while the ending is fine i wouldn't say it makes anything worse, it felt like the only possible solution really.

In the end it was a blast to play through this loop over, over and over again, maybe would like some more interactions between then, maybe more narrative, but that doesn't take from the overall experience, also it has a ton of options so you can play it your way and that only makes it better.

Transistor is a interesting one, in one hand you have the combat that becomes repetitive and has it's problems, the confusing world building story and the lack of a more cohesive game overall.

However, it shines on the pillars of what would eventually become supergiant games blueprint, a gorgeous looking world, amazing musical set pieces and two very odd but interesting protagonists. Even though it's not all made of rights, transistors stands tall as a important mark on supergiant trajectory.

To play Paper Mario today is to see mushroom kingdom come alive, flurish with personality and charism on it's citizens, it's a thing you'll never find in newer installations of the series and the mario games in general, it's a shame seeing how this one turn out.

Even though the battle system becomes repetitive at times, it's so much better than ones from the same time and even newer ones, making you use the whole of the itens, powers and badges and it actually matters in gameplay, wich i was surprised to see .

Overral a great experience, tons of charisma an care put onto this one.

How about you pick up the possibilities of unique forms of gameplay and the cuteness of the pikmins, stir it up with some of the classical but refined ideas of collectatons, season with some smooth platforming and movement options from 3d platformers and top it all up with some unique personality, charm and gorgeous looking environments, then you get a tinykin.

It's just that, a great and relaxing collectaton that makes you play the entirety of it's worlds with a smile on your face and enjoyment of just wandering around, checking the smart takes and little jokes of the npcs, while counting with the help of your ever so cute friends, the tinykins, to acoomplish your tasks in the most enjoyable way possible.

Imagine you come up with the base for a great series of games, using the base of one of the most beloved series of games, starting with the first two titles, but using the mechanics of the later ones as to make for a great recipe.

The game turns out great, it's really fun and makes for hours of good times, and now all you have to do is to use this base and make a re imagination of the older ones or even a new one, since this one lacks in some of that, and you even have another great projects made before this one to back you up, should be great, right, right?

Well, unfortunately one of the many rich white man in a position of power doesn't agree, use his position that he acquired with his rich white man privilege only and throws all this bases on the trash. Such a shame , it's a great base, really wanted to see a new one, but that's the only one we'll get, godsped Vicarius Visions.

An gorgeous looking game with a great sense of humor throughout it's small but well thought narrative, where even the characters voice makes you laugh (after all they are Sims related) .

And every little puzzle you play for just one time makes your think "i could play an entire game of only this", from a new form of checkers to a psychedelic "guide the light" puzzle it's all over the place, and never misses the mark.

It's a sweet condensed experience that leaves you wanting more

It is clear that the theme with with this one is "if it ain't broke don't fix it", Prime 2 pick's up right after prime 1 left and with the short time between them is clearly on the same page as the first one.

It has some new twists and improvements, like how the dark/light world system makes for a better navigation than using that one planet as a "metro station", the use of dark/light ammunition makes for interesting choices , the addition of the screw attack and the sanctuary fortress being the best area so far.

On it's downsides the way the bosses got sammus powers gets predictable quickly and although the Spider ball one it's probably the most interesting boss fight yet in general they're meh. Also for the second half of the game you'll be so lost, there's no indicator of many upgrades and places you should go and that can be frustrating if you're not using a guide, even though that's probably a problem of it's time.

Overall, it's still a blast to play trough this game, navigate back and forth through the areas, it works like a charm.

A game that takes full advantage off it's platform, from the core design poinpy is made for mobile and works so well, it's just fun to play from beginning to end and more, only one movement on the screen and you know how hours are going to pass before your eyes, it was a pleasant surprise to receive and even though i've seen the fun end i'll probably keep flicking the screen for months and months yet to come

2021

A short vision of a puzzle platformer that provides with a relaxing and joyful journey through it's scenarios and creatures to met, making for a breezy experience.

A ragtag group of misfits go trough crazy adventures to build their team sense and learn how to work together in a spiral sequence of events that leads to them having to save the galaxy.

The game borrows inspiration from different parts of the mcu and comics to delivers the better version of the cast, every conversation stoles your attention, every little interaction is interesting and most likely will make you laugh, the narrative makes you wonder what will be of them, and while it does have its flaws most of the time makes you wonder what will happen next.

The combat was interesting in the beginning, to use your role as the leader to serve as a set up for combing your teammates abilities fells ever so satisfying, until it kinda wears off in the third part of the game, but i'll say that until then i was having fun with it.

Guardians of the galaxy is a blast to play, such a shame this rich cast of characters became an underappreciated game because of square enix terrible decisions on the previous game.

Wind waker hd is a gorgeous looking game with an charismatic set of characters and fun exploration, the atmosphere of the sea with your pirate friends is charming and has some of the best dungeons design in the series.

The downs are by far the last part, exploring the sea is fun, for the first time, not the second, or the third the games requires you to, the last proper dungeon it's confused and very narrow compared to other ones, and the last is really just reusing assets that by themselves weren't the best part of it's dungeons, it fells rushed like some other main Nintendo games from the era.

A gorgeous looking game to play and abandon after the dungeon with the lights, that way you can leave the worst part by the side.
