That old saying "wow they made mario in 3d" for mario 64 didn't really hit me when i played for the first time last year, however, Metroid prime, even 20 years after it's original realease, left me with the awe of playing super metroid in 3d.

Playing prime after i had played all of the 2d ones in the last years felt like a 1:1 translation of the feeling in those games to the 3d realm. The exploration is wonderful, the upgrades are always something that change the game, the worlds are interesting and unique, the characters and encounters are all great.

Of course it has some things that didn't age that well, like the lack of more save and transport spots, the way you can't tell in the map after getting the morph or grappling upgrades where to go and some modern things like map markers and so on but nothing that ever stood in the way of this great game.

Metroid prime was a great surprise to me, even though i still prefer the 2d ones, it's a nice change in the series that definitely deserves the 4 entry whenever they decide it's time for that to come out.

Um curto jogo de puzzle muito bem bolado, evocando o sentimento do famoso jogo da cobrinha mas adicionando elementos a cada mundo e te dando aquela sensação boa de ir limpando fase atrás de fase.

As the last installment of Professors Layton's tale, Azran Legacy clearly learns from the past making it's gameplay the best of the series, the puzzles, the solutions, the way you progress and even the mini games all come to their best here, the azran puzzles are the best in the series, letting the puzzelocks as the only bad part.

In it's character it also delivers in greatness, all of them are well designed and find their place into the narrative. The narrative itself is well done, however a little too megalomaniac for my own taste, but still maintains the series constant quality.

In general Professor layton has been a delightful series to have played throughout it's entire duration in the last year, it sure was made with a lot of care and dedication put into it, it deserved more attention and future, but it was nice to see that their legacy will always be there in the form of a great serie of games.

If Super Mario Odyssey is the definition of Joy, Kirby and the Forgotten Land can be defined as Coziness, a joyful journey through kirby's first 3d game that brings a smile to your face throughout all of its amazing levels in the most adorable, beautiful and likable post apocalypse world you'll ever see.

Kirby cuteness is translated so well to the 3d platformer genre, in a game that follows the formula of Mario's 3d world and execute it flawlessly. Of couse being Kirby there's a lot of fighting involved as well, but in this game your power ups have upgrades, and my oh my are they neat, i never got any close to like fighting in kirby games as this one, my favorite is by far the upgraded fire, with the ranger as a second, i blasted (ha) through entire levels and bosses with that ability that honestly felt like the game was only made to it, the mouthfull mode ones also add's variety and unique trace to each part they can be used in.

The platforming also fells great, there are a ton of challenges throughout the game to test your skills, and also a lot of actually really hidden secrets to find. The soundtrack has no right being that good, with banger's after banger's, it's one of the highlights of the game. Another one is the Waddle Dee Town, as you progresses you unlock a lot of fun side activity's to do there, as well as greeting all the friends you helped and sleeping in your house because priority.

In general this game it's a receipt for happiness, bringing you in it's journey through this amazingly adorable forgotten land.

Toodee and Topdee is a charming puzzle plataformer with an unique idea in which it's iteration doesn't overstay it's welcome, in fact at some point i was getting tired of it but the game interesting accessibility feature gave me a double jump and other stuff that made the last hour or so still neat. There's also a cool end thing and a nod that made the programmer in me laugh a lot, so a neat short game.

Talking about FW it's better suited in a pros and cons lists, so i'll just start with that.

Good: This game is gorgeous, the art direction of every set piece, cut scene, location, character design etc is baffling, seriously the prettiest game i played on the console. The Character's surrounding Alloy and herself are amazing, talking with them, their side quests, it's honestly the best part of the game. in general character design is great all around, there'l be a lot of side quests that will have a "story line" following a tale with a random guy you met and it'll have payoff in the end, they are great side content. The move set with the Grappling and Glider are way better, you fell like you can go everywhere. The cauldrons, Ruins, City's, Tribes, as well as an late game upgrade also make the list. The narrative is good even if it falloffs in the very end.

Bad : Horizon is another Sony series that thinks that better means bigger, and that is it's biggest problem, sure they have great side quests and characters, but there are SO MANY that most people will miss this content, purely because they did something else. The "other side quests" , most of them just felt like unnecessary at least. Hacking and Stealth that were great in the first kinda falloff in this one, it was sad to see. There are too many machines and animals so you'll never have the thing you need for upgrades, there'll be too many weapons that you'll probably never get to use and so on.
The end, small spoiler ahead, their need for a trilogy on what could have been a good endpoint for Alloy's narrative had to be brought to a final that doesn't add up to the game's state and also set ups for a third game that i'll be surprised if it get's close to the first two.

In resume, Forbidden West it's a roller coaster of ups and downs, that delivers on Horizon's Biggest strengths while also falling onto it's biggest's problems, it sure is worth to see the tale of Alloy and her crew, even if you just ignore most of the rest.

As someone who had it's doubts about playing it Arceus is certainly better than it looked, it borrows the "just catch" the wild pokemons, no random encounters and pokemons in the open good ideas from let's go, and add in some must needed quality of life changes like not stopping your gameplay every single second like the old ones to delivery a much needed change to the formula.

There are downs as well, the scenery itselft and most importantly the art direction are terrible, the Pokemons don't seen to fit into places frankly because the places look like anything, every island, while i'm glad it isn't a open world, felt like a color swap from the last one. Along side that the pokemon themselves didn't really do much in their habitats, as well as some repeating pokemon in places that doesn't make sense at all contribute to this sense of weirdness.

In the end, it was a fun experience, i ended up almost finishing the pokedex (except for those stupid requirement ones, like LITERALLY a Korok seed one) and enjoying my time with it, there's much more to improve and while in other cases i would say i expected this to be only the first step, as a gamefreak game i'm not so sure.

This game is an interesting take on the pikimin formula, it has it's own merits with charismatics characters, beautiful art style and some parts of the gameplay as well.

It's a surprisingly relaxing experience to play and although the game has it's flaws, like leaving you lost sometimes and the unnecessary final section it still is a great experience overall

The idea behind this game is so unique and interesting, being in a time loop where your knowledge is carried over the next time your play but you can delegate tasks making replaying it always moving it forward.

While it does have it's flaws it's ever so satisfying to solve it's mysteries and unravel the ending to it's tale.

From the creators of steamworld dig, it's no wonder that playing The Gunk it's a relaxing experience, using the vacuum is such a nice feeling and the relationship between you and the other characters is nice to see.

I just with the end portion was a little more like the beginning, it's not bad either, but i fell like there were a better way to finish it. Besides that, a pleasant small experience

Death of the Outsider finishes with a great touch the Dishonored series, while it is the smaller one, it's also one with the best quality's, the narrative tells the story of two of the most interesting characters in the universe and of course Arkane delivers a great tale.

Playing in stealth is ever so satisfying with your powers in this game, i never used more all my powers and they never worked so well.

Outsider sums up everything great about the series, and i for one think that sometimes less is better, and this game is a great example.

Sable is a gorgeous looking game with some great hits from Japanese Breakfast, it starts well with a charismatic set of characters and some interesting tasks to do.

However once you start you gliding you see almost nothing of such things, there are some highlights here and there like some big city, and the diferent architeture of the places, but you're, as in it's inspiration botw, roaming throw a big but empty world, and while there are a set of things to do in each region, they repeat, and you rarely interact with other characters, making for me still a good game, but with the feeling it could have been more.

It's funny how they nailed Kamala Klan character, because this could be a great Ms Marvel game, but it isn't that, they make good on the avengers characters, so this could be a good narrative about them, also isn't that.

It's a shame really that some high execs at square wanted a game as a service, because even skipping whenever possible the fights and not even touching the Destiny part it still is so repetitive.

Ms. Marvel well designed character deserved much more, such a shame.
