Not my type of game, but my wife loves throwing some fights every once in a while. She's not a gamer, and this is not my type of game, so we both don't know what we're doing. But it's a lot of fun when bloody and random stuff happens, so we always come back to this. Waiting for a sale on the Ultimate edition so we can try more fighters and have more fun. A really enjoyable experience.

2021

Not my type of gaming, and had some technical issues that made it a little maddening.

I really wanted to love this game. I love the idea, the narration, the story has a lot of potential. But the gameplay sucks, tons of bugs and issues. Shame, and a terrible way to end the year.

2022

It was good enough, it has pretty art and a nice enough story, I just think I'm over this style of game. I think I need a little more innovation in this type of games.

It's more of the base game, which is just fine if you loved the original like I did.

I picked this it up during my playthrough of the base game. I was so captivated by that I was sure I would love any additional content. Honestly, it doesn't add much to the game unless you've already completed it and are searching for new challenges or reasons to dive back in.

I enjoyed the Travel Medallion and the horse gear. However, when it comes to the Trial of the Sword and the Champions' Ballad, I wasn't as enthusiastic. While I do appreciate the story flashbacks, the gameplay loop didn't do it me. I might revisit this expansion in the future when I'm looking to return to the game, and maybe then, I'll have a greater appreciation for it.

I enjoyed the character creation tools. That's it.

Really nice game, it's not my thing, but really really fun.

It's a very good game, it's just not for me.

It's not as enjoyable as the main campaign. The beginning is very slow, and it fluctuates between very challenging moments and very easy ones. However, it does manage to resolve some of the issues with the main game's ending, so it has that going for it. All in all, consider getting it with a significant discount if you're interested.

Fun fighting game that lacks innovation. While my knowledge of the series is very limited, the storyline and gameplay mechanics still managed to hold my interest, even if I skipped some cutscenes from time to time. I plan to return for more matches and aim to unlock all the characters in the future. Perhaps I'll even explore the manga.

Fun co-op game. It gets challenging when you have a bad connection (which is my case), but overall, it's quite entertaining and provides enough for both players to do. It's enjoyable enough with the right friend, but I couldn't recommend buying it.

The best non-horror horror game. I do find it slightly overhyped, but considering its from a decade ago, I can appreciate how it has influenced other walking simulators, a genre I truly enjoy. Although I'm a fan of this genre, I hesitate to recommend it to fellow fans. While it maintains its atmospheric quality, it falls short in comparison to more recent games that have learned from its mistakes and improved upon them. Nevertheless, for newcomers to the genre, it comes highly recommended.

It's okay, but I got bored with it pretty quickly. It doesn't do anything different than other games in the same genre, so it failed to grab me to be honest. It was fine for what it was, but I got distracted by other games and I had no interest in returning to this one.

This is how a sequel should be done! An outstanding sequel that improves in every aspect, both in the storyline and in the technical and gameplay elements. It stops being so heavily inspired by "The Last of Us", to embrace more original moments faithful to its own structure. Despite the tragedy and sadness, the game clings to hope and doesn't shy away from having the protagonists make mistakes and hurt others and themselves. It's particularly commendable that the game stays true to the promise of the first part, exploring the psychological impact of everything that has happened to the two young protagonists. The ending, along with many other chapters, hits emotionally and sets a very high bar for whatever the studio decides to do next.
