Though unfairly designed at some points, there are tricks to make adventuring easier and the combat is satisfying to master. Level-grinding is pretty bad though.
As advertised, a game for a particular person. While initially very frustrating, you do get an intuition for the game the longer you play.

Terraria has satisfying combat/movement and exploration, but building/mining is painfully slow and the pacing is inconsistent (the transition to Hardmode in particular)
