Bio
Ratings are how I feel about the game and how it compares to my standards of game design.
They're affected by all sorts of context; genre, historical context, my personal connection.
Ultimately this means my ratings largely should be taken on their own, not as a comparison. i.e. a game being rated 4 stars doesn't necessarily mean I think it's 'better' than a game I rated 3.5 stars.

1 Star - Bad
2 Star - Fine
3 Star - Good
4 Star - Great
5 Star - Masterpiece

I usually consider a game played if
- I finished it
or if it can't be finished, or I shelved it for now then
- I played enough to have a full understanding of the game and it's mechanics
But I usually will not rate games I shelved.

Games from my childhood I only include if I remember them well enough.

Im trying to put rough dates played for all my games now. Ones I don't remember/cant find out exactly I will just put Started/Completed on the 1st of the year I think it was.

Lots of fun. Some minor complaints, police at times felt more like an annoyance to be gotten rid of than an obstacle to overcome, and a few secrets feel a bit too obtuse. But incredible game nonetheless, that consistently surprised me with additional gameplay depth, and absolutely oozes style. The art direction, the animation, and the music, oh man the music, all so good. Had difficulty deciding between 4 and 4.5 so think of this as a 4.25.

Technical marvel, would kill for a talk or 3 on the engineering work that went into this. Puzzle design was consistently passable, with a few fun high points.

bits and pieces of arkane shine through, but ultimately a game that needed more time in the oven, and to not be a multiplayer number go up looter shooter. didnt hate my time with it, more so just frustrated at the squandered potential.
