Really glad this came out during lockdown so I actually had time to sink into it. Feels incredibly weird for me to compare this to Cyberpunk but P5 absolutely nails the 'city life' aspect which Cyberpunk desperately (and failed) to grasp for. The cast aren't as believable a group like P4 and it doesn't use its themes as well as P3 but it more than makes up for it with the gameplay improvements, quantity of activities and overall premise. I'm also a big believer that style IS substance when done right and this game has it by the boat load. The third semester feels incredibly odd and clumsily tacked on (and I just didn't enjoy it if I'm being honest) but the integrated QoL upgrades throughout are more than worth it making this the superior version. Would recommend it to anybody who can stomach anime tropes and has too much time on their hands.
