What a fun little game! Turning a kart racer into an adventure game was such a smart way to expand on Mario Kart's template. The kart and plane are immediately fun, and the hovercraft you come around on. Lots of depth with the item system and the variable track design for different vehicles. Clearing every challenge feels super rewarding - it's hard enough that you have to work for it, but not so hard (with a decent amount of game experience) as to be insurmountable. I didn't grow up with this, but I've made many failed runs over the years - very rewarding to finally beat it guided by friends who had far more experience than me.
