Favorite SNES Soundtracks

Never been a fan of the SNES' soundchip - ambitious for its MIDI-like versatility, but limited enough that most instruments sound flat, sterile and static-y on it. These soundtracks persevere through, with very masterful use of compression as an aesthetic tool among the chip's many other distinct quirks: Sample usage, 8 channels, effect parameters, etc.

Obviously this isn't a comprehensive list, I've barely touched the SNES library compared to most people. These are just ones that come to mind. Also included a favorite song from each, for posterity.
