I was reluctant to try this game because I don't care too much about the Marvel universe anymore and the vertical format turned me off at first, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. This is my new favorite TCG, which is saying a lot because I was obsessed with Hearthstone and Runeterra. The games are the perfect length where I can hop on, play a few, and hop off. And the decks are easy to experiment with so I'm motivated to try new things. I hope they keep supporting this game for a long time because I'll continue to play it.

I liked the story and the general vibes/atmosphere a lot but man the gameplay got pretty boring and repetitive as it went on. The combat was serviceable but there's too much of it for how shallow it is. And also the controls just felt clunky as hell. But the storytelling and vibes make up for it a good amount. Not really affecting my score since it's separate but man the DLC for this game blows. It doubles down on the combat which is the worst aspect of the game and just ramps up the difficulty for no reason and barely develops the story. Overall I don't regret my time, and if Alan Wake II improves on the combat and general feel of the game it could be a banger.

This is the first fighting game I've ever actually bought and played online by myself and not just local play at a friends house. It feels incredibly smooth and satisfying to play, and is fun even when I lose. The online feels nearly flawless and almost never lags, which is a huge thing. I love the art style as well. I see myself playing a lot more of this over the next year, and becoming more of a fighting game fan because of it.
I have pretty much all the same issues with this game that I had with the first, but I do feel this is undeniably better. I liked the new areas of the sky islands a lot, but thought that the underground area felt empty and generally pointless. I liked the abilities a lot more in this game and enjoyed the freedom they gave to creatively problem solve. The colors, environments, and just general vibes are also similar to BOTW but better here. I still hate the shrine system of leveling up and think that most of the shrines are boring and become tedious very quickly. Both of these games are way too big and the world just never clicked with me enough to want to explore every nook and cranny. Elden Ring took the innovative open world design ideas introduced in BOTW and perfected them, but I feel like TOTK doesn't learn from Elden Ring at all. I really hope they go back to making smaller and more linear Zelda games, but with the success of these games I don't know if they will which makes me sad.

I played the demo of this for a solid 4-5 hours and really enjoyed it. I love the art style and the game feels super tight and polished, with really satisfying animations and sound design. It's so addicting it's kind of scary. I ultimately decided to put this down because it felt like runs were based too much on RNG. No matter how skilled you are at the game, it feels like in each run you're mostly at the whim RNG. There are also insane difficulty spikes, which when combined with the randomness it doesn't make me feel motivated to grind and continue since it feels somewhat out of my hands. The gameplay is so satisfying that it does make up for this a bit. I might pick up the full game at some point if they add some more stuff and tweak the difficulty spikes.

I don't think I'm gonna beat this game so I'll log it now. I enjoyed this game a lot! As a Harry Potter fan I was role playing pretty hard and was very immersed in the world. I haven't played an open world game before where much of the activities are done throughout one giant sprawling and interconnected building, and I found this interesting. Hogwarts was gorgeous and fun to explore, but the rest of the open world was pretty generic and the quest design was nothing new either. I liked the combat a lot, and once you level up and get more skills and spells it becomes a ton of fun to sling together combos of spells. The story was good enough to keep me interested in exploring and engaging with the various characters. I feel like this is a must-play as a HP fan.

As someone who just plays this game for the campaign and doesn't care about PVP (to be honest I didn't even know this existed in the Diablo franchise until now) this is a super solid game. It's basically a AAA Diablo game on your phone for free. The combat felt incredibly solid and satisfying and the touch controls felt better than any iPhone game I've played. I never felt compelled to buy microtransactions in the 10-15 hours I put into this, and got plenty of great loot. I had a ton of fun slaying demons on the go.
