I played this thinking I was maybe a bit too old for Pokemon when it came out. I didn't enjoy Diamond that much, so I wasn't expecting much. This game is the best in the series, for me. Full of pokemon from all eras, with the gen 2 setting and gen 4 artstyle. The battle system has been perfected at this point in my eyes, without any of the overly complicated aspects they introduced in later titles.

Also Lugia would beat up Ho-Ho anyday of the week, and the electric legendary dog is the best one. Totodile starters had their heads screwed on.
