Perhaps not as consistent as RE 7, but this game delivers a real shake up to the formula with the introduction of some wild characters and environments which are as 'camp' as the series has been. It doesn't quite reach the heights of the RE 2 or RE 3 remakes, but it is a fun romp through some beautiful and inventive settings, even if the combat and story feel a little underbaked. Although I prefer the 3rd-person remake treatment over this new first-person direction the series is taking, I'm still looking forward to what comes next.
