I have only experienced Psychonauts 1 through videos. I haven't actually played it past the first stage or two. So I don't have a huge amount of nostalgia for it.
This second one is a pretty decent platformer. It got frustrating to play sometimes, but the story kept me going. I'm glad I played it. Maybe I'll try cleaning up those figments some day.

Did you like Left 4 Dead? This is that. There's a kind of interesting card system that makes each run a bit more unique.

This made a decent first impression actually. I thought my little dwarf guy looked kind of cool swinging his dumb axe around. I figured a few hours in, with a few upgrades and some more enemy variety, there could be something cool. I was wrong. I don't know that I'd even recommend it as a gamepass download. There's lots of other good stuff on there.
