I have only experienced Psychonauts 1 through videos. I haven't actually played it past the first stage or two. So I don't have a huge amount of nostalgia for it.
This second one is a pretty decent platformer. It got frustrating to play sometimes, but the story kept me going. I'm glad I played it. Maybe I'll try cleaning up those figments some day.

Did you like Left 4 Dead? This is that. There's a kind of interesting card system that makes each run a bit more unique.

This made a decent first impression actually. I thought my little dwarf guy looked kind of cool swinging his dumb axe around. I figured a few hours in, with a few upgrades and some more enemy variety, there could be something cool. I was wrong. I don't know that I'd even recommend it as a gamepass download. There's lots of other good stuff on there.

This is an alright third person shooter. Co-op always improves a game's fun factor and this has he potential to be pretty fun. But it doesn't really set itself apart enough to win me over. Worth a download on gamepass though.

This is a badass game. It feels amazing from the very beginning and it continues to fuckin' rule with every powerup and ability you unlock. Samus is cool as shit. Why have Nintendo been sitting on 2D Metroid for so long? This is among the best games in Nintendo's library. Hell yeah.

I might have enjoyed this less if I'd owned a WiiU. But this is a pretty good pack in with Mario 3D world.
I hope they do another, full sized game with this open world design applied to Mario. It works really well.

By design, this is a very ugly and abrasive game. It plays really weird and will probably make you feel a little nauseous. It's like an 'immersive sim' with a strong focus on playing the stock market and betting against the heads of rival corporations (who you then get to go out and murder) It's got a good kick, and a fun organ harvesting mechanic. I love it.
I am a flesh automaton animated by neurotransmitters.

Cool looking. Very hard. Unfortunately gets too frustrating sometimes.

I always say I don't really like deck building games and then I try a new one and I like it. I like this one. Style is cool. Gameplay makes you think. Heck yeah.

This is a cute little game that has a very satisfying loop (or a stressful one depending on how severe your OCD is). Incredible pixel art. Some of the final moments of each puzzle are a little frustrating. (Where is a frisbee supposed to go?)
I should note that I played most of this at my office desk streaming to my phone through gamepass. It worked pretty well and I did not get caught.

I was pretty prepared to try this out once or twice and then bounce back to playing AOE2 a whole bunch again. A number of RTS games have managed to get their hooks deep into me but none have had the lasting appeal of Age 2. Command and Conquer had a few really good entries but I haven't revisited them in a long long time. I've tried Age 1 and 3 several times and I like them well enough, but I don't really feel like playing them regularly. Age four is like Age 2 with a 3D engine and some more variation between factions. I've really been enjoying getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of each civilization and learning how the new unit types work. I still have AOE2 installed, and I will probably go back to it. But 4 is finally a pretty good follow-up, and I'm excited to see how they support it in the coming years.

I always love these party packs. This is one of the weaker ones imo. Job Job is a good time.

This is very much a Jackbox game. Fortunately I love those. The real joy I found with it was making dozens and dozens of custom video clips to play with.
It's very simple. You just write a small piece of dialogue which will then be read by a computer voice over a line in a given video file. But this simple concept has entertained me for dozens of hours. HMU if you wanna play sometime. It's fun.

Has a lot of nice art. The backgrounds range from beautiful mountain ranges to intergalactic electric space jelly and they all look pretty. There's somewhat of a story here that just sort of flows without interruption from beginning to end. The lines are all voiced and the cast does a good job.
There isn't much to do other than run from side to side and select dialogue options. There's an occasional game of Simon played with the face buttons and that's it. It is fun to power slide your way through each level though. Maybe the speedrunning community should look into this.
