@LEGObrionicle it's insane what this site is like rn. im hoenstly totally in favor of totk's page being locked for like two weeks to make everyone calm down. It is insanely entertaining though. And tragic, a lot of fallen heroes paved on the road to what seems like maybe a pretty underwhelming sequel. That seems to be the consensus among reviews that don't feel like people who need to let the hype and excitement of a new game die down before reviewing it. Which isn't me being mean, I'm like that too. When I first starting playing three houses, for example, I was telling my friends its my new favorite game ever, and I was so enthralled and I was bawling my eyes out at all the big emotional scenes, but then I started replaying it and I started to see it more clearly. For the first month of playing three houses, it was an 11/10 for me, but slowly over time ive come to a greater understanding of it and would definitely make a better review of it, and i think that's the main problem with the totk page rn. Also why I tend to trust reviews of newer games that aren't from fans or are more critical, even if the game turns out to be one i really like, its still best to read a review from someone who didn't like it than one who likes it as much as i will, but who has really clouded vision from hype and recency bias.

@Weatherby in azure moon chapter 13 of three houses the first time i played it i was weeping so hard i couldnt see the scene lul. I cry a lot when i watch movies or play games. thats why it must be me who takes up this burden. This isn't a gamer's job, its an empath's, which I am (source: i knew dimitri would become a good guy again in three houses even though Felix didn't think so). Only someone like myself could handle so much death and destruction. Man's inhumanity to man is truly ceaseless.

at this point i have the number of totk reviews memorized and sometimes ill go back to its page and there will be one less review than last time i checked so i'll add LAIRs for that happening, too

It was already pretty bad w/ REm4ke but the stuff that's been happening on TOTK's page is legit half the reason I took a preemptive break from the site aside from the occasional front page glance, I have better things to do and other anime + music than to witness another site get have Epic Nerd Wars about a Nintendo game.

The Terf Wizard game was pretty damn bad for a while, but otherwise this feels like the norm when a big Nintendo/FromSoft game ships. RIP to all those that perished in the great Tiktok Zelda War.

Yeeaaahh.... As much as I'm enjoying the game, I honestly do not want to make a review of it after I finish it because of all this shit. Even after this ""honeymoon phase"" is over, can't really say I'd be motivated to get my thoughts out there.

watching this list get slowly longer is mesmerising but also makes me incredibly glad that i don't have any emotional investment in this game whatsoever

@FrozenRoy we have now surpassed the amount of lists LAIR's in. Mostly due to two reviews going down, both with a few comments on them. Which was unfortunate bc the reviews weren't that bad compared to most other reviews on the page, but they were still a bit... incite-y, i guess. like they read like they were trying to start more fighting so i guess it was for the best they were removed. What I'm getting at here is that this conflict actually isn't as black and white as we once thought it was and maybe the true enemy here is just the concept of war itself. I think this is what spec ops the line was about maybe

"Reviewing...reviewing never changes..."

Alright, everything's been very quiet for a few days so I'm gonna call it now. I'll maybe still look at the page every now and then and update if there's nothing better for me to do, but I am very confident in saying the war is over. while neither side gained total victory, the much larger amount of positive reviews shows a clear winner, which was, I'm sure, the expected outcome. The final death toll, by my count, is 48. 48 brave soldiers gave their lives fighting for a cause they believed in. (Totk good/Totk bad)

Let this monument stand as a reminder to us all what cost there is when mankind's hubris makes them think themselves gods. Rest in Peace gallant knights who met their end in a fool's pursuit of conquest, admiration, and scorn in relation to the honor of a video game.
