One of my favorite narratives in video games, this game draws a lot from B Horror movies I love. However the gameplay takes a big sloppy hit to the jaw as a result of RE8's focus on spectacle and pacing. If it had to be one way or the other I'd prefer the experience we got. See, I'm part of the common reddit gamer herd that thinks this game could've should've been longer, it's hard not to identify areas in the game that I would have loved to spend more time Playing Resident Evil in. This is a very fun, well paced game with gameplay and map design that's Not As Good as RE2make.
