Fun, charming PS1 platformer. Astonishingly good for a licensed game of its era.
If you're a Dr Slump fan, you'll have a great time reliving the manga in video game form.
If you've never experienced Dr Slump before, get ready for a wild ride.

Not only the best kart racer, but the best racing game period.
Controls great, all the items are balanced, lots of single player content and a large variety of characters from different SEGA franchises to unlock.
What really makes it the GOAT though, is the transforming karts and tracks. There are only a few race tracks where all 3 laps are the same, all the others change mid race thus making them much more interesting than every other kart racer where all laps are exactly the same.

Final Fantasy VI is really good for a few hours, but like 25% through the game you'll already have some of the best attacks and there's never any reason to do anything else because the game's combat system has less depth than Pokémon.
Unfortunately the story and cast can't make up for what the gameplay lacks as most of the characters are uninteresting or only get about 2 minutes of character establishment and development.
It's strange that the story moves at such a fast pace yet the game feels like such a slog. There's barely any time for build up or reflection, it's just big event after big event and while that's exciting at first, I soon found myself asking why should I care?
This isn't to say the game is completely without merit. The first half of the game is enjoyable enough, Kefka is an entertaining villain and the soundtrack is amazing, as expected for a FF game.
Some of the big moments are really good. The poisoned water, the opera show, Celes on the mountain and the ending of the game are all pretty good scenes.
It's obvious I don't see what everyone else sees in this game and that's a shame because I was really excited to play it, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me.

A really fun action platformer with some of the best one-liners in the series.
Bonus points for having a secret boss that's a reference to Final Fantasy IX.

Best third person shooter gameplay on the PS2.
Gackt songs are incredibly raw.

The most charming game you'll ever play.

Gameplay is a big step up from the first game and of course the graphics are great. Even the soundtrack is pretty good.
But the story is an unsalvageable, poorly structured, offensive mess and brings the whole game down.

The biggest slight I can say against this game is that playing it is no different than just watching the cutscenes on Youtube.
Combat is fine but the "puzzles" are boring and tedious.
The story is alright, with some good emotional moments, but it's nothing special and the flashback sections in the DLC were really boring.
The only areas where the game really excels are the voice acting and pretty environments.
Really don't understand the hype for it at all.

It's a bit too long, the story isn't very good and the characters aren't that interesting. But god damn that gameplay is so good that it's hard to care about any of that. The soundtrack and visuals are great too.
Recommend playing it on PC because that version has the option for Japanese voice over which makes the characters a lot more tolerable.

Just as glitchy and unfinished as Sonic 06, yet doesn't receive any of the vitriol that game does. Guess you don't get internet points for shitting on this game.

Introduced me to Paramore but also subjected me to Tool.

I don't know how to feel about RE3.

On one hand, it plays and looks like RE2, which is great.
I really like Jill and Nemesis.
The first couple hours where you're exploring the streets and running from/fighting Nemesis are fun.

But on the other hand, the Carlos sections aren't very good. I don't really like his character and his punch isn't as useful as Jill's dodge roll.
The game is very linear and short. It doesn't have the same sense of exploration and metroidvania-like progression that RE2 did.
Nemesis is quickly relegated to boss battles and isn't as threatening as Mr X, who could appear out of nowhere at any point.
Nikolai just sucks. Terrible, boring villain.

Despite it's shortcomings, RE3 is still a good time. Just feels more like a DLC to RE2 than it's own thing.

It's not the worst game ever like some would have you believe. In fact, it's pretty good.
They overuse the interactable gimmick a bit, to the point where the first 30 minutes of the game is just pressing buttons on doors and microwaving popcorn. But once you get past that, what you have is a solid shooter.
Gunplay is fast and fun, with a range of cool weapons.
Levels are unique and varied. Ranging from shooting up aliens in the streets of Vegas, to platforming in a fast food restraunt as a Shrunken Duke, and in the DLC you get to drive around on the moon.
Vehicles control surprisingly well. Tight enough that you're in control, but also loose enough that there's some chaotic fun.
The only areas where the game really suffers are the graphics (It's a pretty ugly game), a few sections where you're doing nothing but interacting with the enivornment (the beginning and the strip club) and the game can be very sleazy and mysogynistic. The Hive level in particular made me a bit uncomfortable.

I like Silent Hill 3 much more than the first two.
Locations in the first two games got boring really quickly, but they were much more interesting in this game, to the point where I wouldn't have minded if the whole game was just set in the mall.
Silent Hill 3 was also actually scary unlike 1 and the little I played of 2. Thanks in part to it's incredible sound design, where often times I couldn't tell if the noises were coming from the game or somewhere in my house.
Graphics are super good for a PS2 game and the combat is improved from the first two games.
Heather is also a much better protagonist than Harry and James.

Better than the first game in ever way.
You play as a Big Daddy which is already cooler than playing as just some dude.
The story and characters are more interesting. The lore and origins of Rapture are much better explained.
The machinegun and shotgun were still my go-to weapons, but I enjoyed the others as well. You can now use Plasmids and guns at the same time which makes the combat much better.
Big Daddies are more difficult and fun to fight here than Bioshock 1 and Big Sisters are really cool too.
You can walk around in the ocean outside Rapture too, which is neat.
