It seems that all the elements are in place for Vagante to be a great rogue-like, but it somehow just misses the mark. The game quickly becomes unfairly difficult in a way where putting in countless hours of playtime will not increase your chance of victory. Enemies are incredibly spammy, and thrown at you in such numbers, that by the third level you're just not equipped to handle the challenges ahead. I found the only way to tackle these areas is to run straight to the end. The structure is sound, and the multiplayer is well integrated, but the game has some serious balancing issues that unfortunately ruin the whole experience.
