What a fantastic game

As a Spider-Man fan this is a wet teenager dream come true and there are only minor gripes i have with it.
First of all the kind of magic that 2018 Ps4 Spider-Man gave me is kind of not there fully. It is still amazing but the first kind of wonder about did not reappear.

The beginning is also a little slow but when the story picks up OH BOY does it pick up! Even though i am not a big fan of Kraven he was so good in this. His theme was also very good at setting the scary atmosphere around him and that he doesn't play around. Kraven is straight up to kill people here.

And that seriousness and more brutal approach (more than you would expect from Marvel maybe) really made me enjoy it so much more.

Not even speaking of the best part of this game and maybe even in Spider-Man as a whole: The Symbiote and Venom.
While changing things up and rearranging them Insomniac outdid themselves and delivered a perfect portrayal of Venom and the whole Symbiote story while incorporating great nods at other comic arcs.

Overall i love this game, but the first time magic is not as strong and the gameplay is more same-y and so overbloated with options and abilities that it can become taxing to manage.

But wow is this technically optimized. No load times and always 60fps with reflections and even in house models. So much to explore and enjoy.

I can't wait for what Insomniac will do for Spider-Man 3. The implications of the after credit scenes have me super hyped! So let's wait onto Playsation 6 i guess haha until then...

I remember fondly how i downloaded the demo for this on Xbox 360 back in the day and i loved it but never came around to actually play the full version.

As i was in the mood for some racing and NfS i played this finally and i feel mixed about it.

While the fast paced arcade racing action with the exciting heists and Hot Pursuits (name drop lmao) are really fun, the game kinda lacks different stuff to do.

Yeah there are several modes and you can play as the racer or police but lookint at the sheer tone of events to complete this game, it is getting kinda repetitive. And since the races are just segments of a big overarching map, the tracks are also repeating themselves.

In another it's also cool to drive tracks in reverse or just segements of them and going into different directions at some point. But overall the game overstays its welcome a little.

Despite that NfS Hot Pursuit still manages to sometimes get me into the zone and just drive with tunnelvision and make me feel like a racing god when drifting perfectly, evading everything and finishing 1st.

And the graphics are nicely remastered too! So good, but too samey.

Basically chinese Nioh but not as overbundend with its loot and mechanics on top of mechanics.

Like Elden Ring brought jumping and Sekiro more counter focused gameplay, Wo Long takes these mechanics and learns from Nioh to make a more nuanced souls-like experience.

As much fun as Wo Long is to play the story is really forgettable and is overall a more easy game. After the beginning it becomes a walk in the park and is more exploration and looting than raging at unbeatable bosses.

Because of that it is really easy to play and get through so still an enjoyable ride.

A high 7, barely not making it an 8 for me.
Oh and Lu Bu is easily the best part of this. And also the best/hardest boss fight. Really awesome battle.
