What a fantastic game

As a Spider-Man fan this is a wet teenager dream come true and there are only minor gripes i have with it.
First of all the kind of magic that 2018 Ps4 Spider-Man gave me is kind of not there fully. It is still amazing but the first kind of wonder about did not reappear.

The beginning is also a little slow but when the story picks up OH BOY does it pick up! Even though i am not a big fan of Kraven he was so good in this. His theme was also very good at setting the scary atmosphere around him and that he doesn't play around. Kraven is straight up to kill people here.

And that seriousness and more brutal approach (more than you would expect from Marvel maybe) really made me enjoy it so much more.

Not even speaking of the best part of this game and maybe even in Spider-Man as a whole: The Symbiote and Venom.
While changing things up and rearranging them Insomniac outdid themselves and delivered a perfect portrayal of Venom and the whole Symbiote story while incorporating great nods at other comic arcs.

Overall i love this game, but the first time magic is not as strong and the gameplay is more same-y and so overbloated with options and abilities that it can become taxing to manage.

But wow is this technically optimized. No load times and always 60fps with reflections and even in house models. So much to explore and enjoy.

I can't wait for what Insomniac will do for Spider-Man 3. The implications of the after credit scenes have me super hyped! So let's wait onto Playsation 6 i guess haha until then...

I remember fondly how i downloaded the demo for this on Xbox 360 back in the day and i loved it but never came around to actually play the full version.

As i was in the mood for some racing and NfS i played this finally and i feel mixed about it.

While the fast paced arcade racing action with the exciting heists and Hot Pursuits (name drop lmao) are really fun, the game kinda lacks different stuff to do.

Yeah there are several modes and you can play as the racer or police but lookint at the sheer tone of events to complete this game, it is getting kinda repetitive. And since the races are just segments of a big overarching map, the tracks are also repeating themselves.

In another it's also cool to drive tracks in reverse or just segements of them and going into different directions at some point. But overall the game overstays its welcome a little.

Despite that NfS Hot Pursuit still manages to sometimes get me into the zone and just drive with tunnelvision and make me feel like a racing god when drifting perfectly, evading everything and finishing 1st.

And the graphics are nicely remastered too! So good, but too samey.

Basically chinese Nioh but not as overbundend with its loot and mechanics on top of mechanics.

Like Elden Ring brought jumping and Sekiro more counter focused gameplay, Wo Long takes these mechanics and learns from Nioh to make a more nuanced souls-like experience.

As much fun as Wo Long is to play the story is really forgettable and is overall a more easy game. After the beginning it becomes a walk in the park and is more exploration and looting than raging at unbeatable bosses.

Because of that it is really easy to play and get through so still an enjoyable ride.

A high 7, barely not making it an 8 for me.
Oh and Lu Bu is easily the best part of this. And also the best/hardest boss fight. Really awesome battle.

Watching One Piece since my childhood and still being up to date with the manga i was really looking forward to this anniversary game. And to make a JRPG-turn-based OP game seems like a fresh and good idea.

Sadly this game has a lot of flaws that even a OP fan can't look over. It has terrible pacing and weird lengths and then super short sections that seem like confused development was at work. Like they wanted to make everything big and thought out but then kinda didn't anymore.

The biggest problem though is probably the combat system. While the idea is great it is way to simple and easy and just takes so much time even on sped up attack animations. The attacks look great but after not even half the game the fights just seem like work and a pain to get through.

It's nice that a lot is voiced in the jp original dub and the characters are all how they should be. But at every point the game just wants to slow you down and tell you what to do and sometimes gives you to little information on what to do.

It's weird and as that is the story. Relying on former arcs is a common thing in anime games and the spin of having the characters reexperience their journeys while knowing anything sounds better than it was executed.

The big moments just don't happen or are not as impactful as in the og material or other games.

It's sad but we got again a mid OP game and (at least for me) Pirate Warriors 3 and 4 still hold the place of best One Piece games to date.

I think a sequel to Odyssey with less jank, less slow down, more original story line and better pacing would be interesting though. But yeah, that needs a lot of work...

I got to applaud this game for having a concept that it really pulls through all the way to its finale.
True coop campaign experiences in local or online have sadly become scarce and not as common as in the past.
This game tackles this development and makes it the sole point of the gameplay, story and also distribution since only one person needs to buy the game.
As much as i love how much both players can do in A Way Out wether it is mini-games, interactables with different outcomes and dialogue and big story decisions ... the game is good at best in all the other departments.
At the end of the day it still is not a triple-A third person shooter but rather a passionate more streamlined project.
But for what A Way Out is, it really is a thrilling ride that really flourishes as a coop experience!

Awesome, charming, funny and sometimes challenging rhythm game!
Also Ulala is such a cool character!
AND Michael Jackson's in this! HEE HEE

Prostethic-wood-arm go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

NOOOOOOOOOO MR. DIE TWICE DON'T FIGHT THE HUGE WHITE DEMON MONKEY!
HE CAN ALSO DIE TWICE!
But it was too late, protagonist Sekiro "John" Die Twice died not two but instead a final third time. Game Over.

I have to replay this some day, which i look forward to and am also afraid of...

Also: If you like this, try Sifu lol

A game from my childhood why i play through every couple years and everytime i do i love it again.
May come of as a typical hack'n slash PS2 era game but it is kinda unique in my opinion.
The feudal Japan and Yokai themes are really cool and i like how it incorporates the real tale of Minamoto Yoshitsune and Benkei.
And i just love the slow-mo mechanic you have in this game. It's sometimes infuriating when failed but at the same time also so damn cool when you get it just right!
Such an underrated gem.

Now more known as the meme game, i loved MGRR from day 1.
This game still has the most unique game mechanic i have ever seen that no other game (to my knowledge) has yet tried to imitate.
Blade mode is so fun and "cut what you will" really hits home as a concept.
I love the action gameplay, the hard difficulty, the brutality, the characters, the story and OMG THE SOUNDTRACK!
This game just oozes hype and edgy coolness out of every hole that it cuts into everything and everyone in its vicinity.

WE NEED A SEQUEL TO THIS MASTERPIECE ALREADY!

This is how a remake should be done!
The graphics fit perfectly and the gameplay is the same old genius THPS is known for in its first iterations.
We have the old soundtrack on board and the new music added fits really good too! And songs can be switched off completely so you can make it your playlist of highlights yourself!
The only sad thing is that i can't replay the first experience of going through this remake again. Such a good and fun game that i like to put on from time to time to just vibe and do some tricks to good as hell music!

BELTS BELT BELTS AND MORE BELTS!
And more Metal on top of that!
Strive is a plain masterpiece by Daisuke Ishiwatari and his team. It's like a playable anime and its story mode is just one long anime movie, which is a plus in my opinion.
Gameplaywise it is soooooooooo good and mixed it up so much in comparison from the last game but didn't lose it's identity at all!
It's more open for new players, but still offers a very high skill ceiling that tos in its Heaven rank in the online matchmaking.
Maybe the best modern fighting game out there.
Arc System Works just keeps getting better and better!

Simple but effective
You could almost say Tetris Effect(ive) Badumtss GOT EM'!

Feels like a horror thrillride with several places full of attractions to discover. Great shooter too!
Also fun to a point that i completed it like 7 times within a week, went for the platin trophy and tried a speedrun, which is really fun when you know all the stuff.
Can't wait what Capcom does for RE9!

BREAKING ZA LAW, BREAKING ZA LAW, KOWASEEEEEEEEE
I love this 80s gangsters in paradise simulator!

Also: Host club/cabaret is the best mini-game ever!

I'll make it short: Easiest 10/10 ever
Can't wait for Eldest Ring and more of John Ring's adventures
