If you had to play one 2D platformer, play this one.

Music is good, not great. Camera is just plain bad. The level design has something to be desired, but the controls are perfect. Fludd adds so much to the movement, it makes traversing the game so much fun. This game could use a sequel to iron out its flaws but its still good. Sadly it Mario's worst 3D venture not counting 3D Land.
