First off, I overall really enjoyed the game and finished it with much pleasure.
The good:
The traversal is amazing, it's really smooth and fun to swing around the city, web-zipping from point to point.
The open world is what makes everything in this game fun. There's traversal points everywhere, there's enough fast-travel options so that it's not tedious to get somewhere.
There's small collectibles hidden throughout the entire world, never too far away, but far away enough to have to divert slightly from your course to go get them.

The combat is very flashy, and at first really fun. There's 3 skill trees to unlock giving you better combat options and new moves.
However, this is all pretty superficial, and the combat wears out its welcome eventually, becoming tedious.
At first, enemies are slowly introduced, at a good pace, to introduce you to the combat system.
This is very well done. However, it doesn't get better. After the shield enemy gets introduced, only a couple of other enemies get added who play all similarly, with only a couple having some unique mechanic.
It also doesn't help that the other enemy factions you encounter all have the same enemies, but just stronger and tankier.
This makes the end-game combat encounters really tedious, since it's the same enemy you have been fighting all game, but he's wearing a different costume, is immune to your web attacks, does far more damage and is a lot tankier.

Most of the boss fights in this game are also pretty lackluster. They're cinematic for sure, but the gameplay is very scripted. They often go "Dodge this attack 3x times and then press triangle", which gets really repetitive.

The writing, overall, is okay. It has its peaks (the ending cutscenes are the best of the entire game), and it has its down (A lot of Peter's quips and conversations make no sense are often lame as hell).

For me, the biggest downside of this game is the side quests and side content.
The backpacks and landmarks are really amazing. They encourage you to explore the world and the traversal (as stated earlier) is amazing.
The research stations are a mixed bag. A lot of them are very similar, making them feel copy-pasted, but there's not that many of them, making it okay.
The Fisk construction sites were good, a nice little combat challenge. The Demon lairs were the exact same, so they were a bit repetitive. The Sable Camps and Prisoner Camps are the worst. This is truly just copy-pasted content to give you something to do with little to no thought, fighting the same enemies over, and over, and over and over again.
Late in the game, you also get introduced to the Taskmaster challenges, which are also very repetitive and also feel copy-pasted, making them really more of a tedious to-do list than entertaining content.

The side-missions are a mixed bag, some of them are amazing (Tombstone being some of the most fun I had in the entire game), and some of them are downright atrocious (the corrupted student missions).

All in all, this review sounds negative, but I did finish the game, and I really enjoyed the game and would highly recommend it.
It is from 2018, so obviously a lot of gameplay mechanics aged, and a lot of them aged poorly, but for its time it was amazing, and it's mostly held up pretty well

Great factions, great gameplay.
Eye of the Vortex is a super fun campaign with only 1 downside: the Chaos armies that spawn are super annoying and spawn right in your territory, making it just unfun
