I can’t believe, after the disappointment that was Syberia 3, that B Sokal managed to go out on such a high note. Easily the best game in the series and one of the most emotional journeys I’ve been on in a long time. Also, despite some dodgy animations and the odd bizarrely low quality character, the game is absolutely stunning.

The environments are so lovingly crafted in a way that gives the game a real soul. I loved every minute I spent in this world Sokal and the team created and though I’m sad the journey is over, I’m glad I got to be a part of something so Amazing.

Eurojank at it’s absolute finest. Bless you Microids and Sokal.

Quite possibly the greatest visual novel ever made, if not one of the best games full stop. I cannot believe I slept on this for so long.

On the surface this game looks great. Nice graphics, great soundtrack and wall climbing/web slinging. Once you start playing it though you realise just how god awful this game is. The same boss fights are repeated half a dozen times. Everyone can chip away your health in seconds due to an almost complete lack of i frames. There’s so few enemy types that before long you’re fighting businessmen with umbrellas that LOVE to pick you off from a distance. Couple this with an incredibly sluggish control scheme and a grab attack that does nothing but put you in harms way every time and you’ve got one awful game. It’s your typical arcade port system as well so look forward to far fewer lives and continues than you’d need to beat even half the game.

Even if you’re curious, or like me you could never bear it as a kid and wanted to see the ending I can tell you now… it aint worth it.
