So, compared to every other Yakuza game ive played so far, I was aware going into this that this was never gonna really hold up to the likes of 0 and Kiwami 1 and 2. But that being said, its not bad I had my fair share of fun with it. Like every Yakuza game, the story is always quite good and engaging. And some of the sub storys were quite good two, I loved the substory where its basically a murder mystery and a few of the others were really wacky hehe. The new little mini games were pretty cool two like the running sequences and the IF7 stuff was really unique and challenging (Though im not a fan of timers). I quite like the new beachy area as well, it was a nice breath of fresh air compared to being around Kamaracho or Sotenbori all the time.

That being said though, the fighting mechanics arent as great as the other games, there not the worst in the world but sometimes its quite tedious especially when you get to some of the boss fights who nonestop block everything or just bullshit through your attacks. It was a good journey through everything though, and that Amon fight was sweat worthy, I was very satisfied by the end in beating him. Surprisingly easier then Kiwami but great none the less.

Overall, this games pretty fun and its still a Yakuza game even if it isnt as fleshed out as future installments so I had a great time playing it.

An 8-bit beat em up masterpiece. I freakin love this game, its got everything you could ever want in a game, a fantastic soundtrack, level design, over the top but fun boss fights and incredibly fun gameplay. Like you can send people to the moon and use other people to beat up other people, what is not to like!

Its a little fidgety at some points, there are a few glitches and if you grind for the $500 to unlock the special store then you basically just enable easy mode which I kind of regret doing, it would have been more satisfying to beat the final boss as a challenge but me and my brother didnt even lose a life once at the last stage. Its also a little short only having 7 stages. If it just had a little bit more content then I think this would definitely be a 5 star game.

But overall what it had and how fun and fantastic this game is, it more then deserves the 4 stars im giving it.

Going from Mario 64, to this...is a biiig step up in quality for me lol. I mean dont get me wrong, I liked 64 and appreciate it for what it is and I had fun with Sunshine...but this...this was both the perfect combination of pure fun, beautiful setting's, variety of levels and mechanic's and difficulty. Like some levels are just pure fun and easy, others later on are for those who want a little bit of a challenge kind of thing. And Mario in this game controls perfectly, even with my slightly dodgy controls. Not once unlike with 64 and Sunshine did I complain to Mario that he's not jumping high enough or curse at him. Because in this one, if I died or got hit, it wasn't the games dodgy mechanic's, it was usually my fault. Also the music in this game is just phenomenal, like, I could listen to it all day long. The number of beautiful or tense or happy or pure awesome tracks in this game is amazing, in fact I will probably go and save the tracks to my music library later.

The only downside I can possibly see is the wii controls (or wii like switch controls), if your not used to the wii controls for beginner users it might feel off or control weirdly but it wasn't a problem for me since the wii was basically my first console.

Honestly, I can go off on how great this game is for a long time and compliment every part about this game, because it is amazing and in my opinion, revolutionary for its time as a wii game and for how the game works but then this review would be way too big. So I will say, overall, this game is just the perfect mario game and it is a must play. It is so much fun, so pretty and unique in every galaxy you go to and is one of the pinnacle points for me in terms of Mario games. Cant wait to play Mario Galaxy 2.
