it's very good ngl, visually looks better than a ton of games nowadays even though it came out almost a decade ago.
love the story, fun cast with great dialogue that aged well unlike a certain game that came out 14 days before Sunset Overdrive that rhymes with "Hoarderbands Free Kneequil"
I had this issue where I kept getting extremely distracted by my hot character I created to the point where I had to stop making him run around shirtless and gave him a shirt to focus on the plot but that barely helped cuz his personality shined through the outfit too.

This game is awesome it completely blew me away.
The attention to detail in EVERYTHING is insanely cool down to when you close the game at a specific part you can talk to your teammates and they have new specific dialogue for the specific place you paused at.
The soundtrack is phenomenal I caught myself dancing in my seat and tapping my toes 24/7 while playing the game and chaining my dodges to the BPM was just the cherry on top.
I highly recommend this game to everyone I know it's just got an amazing story with great colorful cast that I grew to love and connect with and the pacing was just perfect.
The last level made me cry multiple times because of my attachment to the characters and the music choice that gave me goosebumps, made me tear up and amped up.
I will definitely be putting tons of hours to 100%ing this game because there's just so much content after you beat it that I am not annoyed by cuz it's just SUPER fun.
Do yourself a favor and play Hi-Fi Rush right now.

The game that's considered one of the worst N64 fighting game and the worst selling and rated Super Robot game ever.
I think visually the game is very charming I love the mech designs (I played G Gundam ofc Domon Kasshu my beloved) and gameplay while I found it stupidly fun it's not that good it's just silly.
The game is ofc untranslated so I don't really care for the story but the final boss was challenging and awesome, kicked my ass a couple of times and was so happy when I demolished her.
I will definitely yell at my friends to give this game a try and hopefully play with some of em so I can kick their asses too :D

THIS IS WRITTEN PRE I.V. OVERHAUL UPDATE
I took my time to think about my rating on YIIK cuz I wanted to see if my opinion would change a week after beating the game and nah...I just get more disappointed.
Whenever I listen to the soundtrack I just remember the game and end up feeling unfulfilled like I have not beaten the game yet, the ending was just THAT empty and unsatisfying I hate it, the game was getting good when I met and got into The Essentia 2000's mind, it was AWESOME the boss fight with Yuzu seeing all the cool characters in her mind, I was really happy and started liking the game but it completely ruined it when in the end game the reveal was it was all a lie Essentia made up all the stuff she told me so she can get her own way of destroying the world or some dumb motive. I don't care enough to try and remember and piece stuff together cuz YIIK is just like that to me, nothingness.
Only characters I like are Claudio, Chondra and Michael and they barely get any meaningful story about them compared to Vella, Rory (i HATE Rory) and Essentia.
I am disappointed with the game but I am confident that the I.V. update will fix most of my issues with the ending, character writing and combat but for now the game just is yiikingly disappointing (It took me over a year to beat by the way)

this game is seriously on steam for a dollar but it's worth so much more, an extremely fun short run-n-gun game that I know for a fact i'll revisit a bunch of times with friends just so we can throw random enemies in the air
