Second to none, the greatest soulborne game in FromSoftware's lineup, with the support of Japan Studio (RIP). From the lovecraftian cosmic horror to the steampunk machination of your nightmares. Not to mention its phenominal DLC "The Old Hunters" which includes one of the hardest boss in the entire soulsborne saga. Bloodborne is a far-cry from its predecessors but also an early evolution to the form. For it is the only soulsborne game that I could vividly memorize beat for beat, and every location and item location to this very day.

Having platinum the game and finishing its newly added NG+ mode. The game has grown on me and does leave me optimistic for striking distance games. However cannot seem to understate the level of incompetence in level design and basic balancing that has seen somewhat drastic improvement since launch. Its clear the team were very passionate and Glen Schofield had a clear vision from the start, but having its predecessor and direct competition (Dead Space Remake) release a month apart. To be frank, its quite embarrassing and I hope that the DLC takes this $160 million flop and into a potentially more enjoyable experience.
