This game is way more than a spinoff, it’s a full on sequel to P5. The story is on par with the original, maybe a little better, and the character writing is a big step up since the Phantom Thieves feel a lot more distinct and have a much better dynamic with each other. Also the new characters are fantastic, some of my favorites in the series. The gameplay does an excellent job of converting persona gameplay into an action RPG and combining it with musuo elements, but the dungeon design feels weaker than the original. Overall a breath of fresh air for the series and a really fun time.
