My main issue with this generation of games is the main story is a slog to get through. Progress is constantly impeded by frequent and uninteresting cut scenes. Once you've gotten through that tho these games are pretty fun. There are a lot of Pokemon to catch and some of them are quite the challenge to find. Shiny hunting is also pretty good in this game thanks to the S.O.S feature.
