Ah man. What a game.

I’m not too familiar with the Ratchet and Clank franchise having only played through the 2016 movie game and watching my older sisters play it when I was younger but this was a lot of fun! Rivet and Kit are brilliant additions to the cast of characters and I really wanna see them have their own game.

Visually it’s stunning and it really shows of how powerful the PS5 is with its impressive load times and just how many wee guys they can fit on the screen at once.

The combat is great, each weapon feels different and makes for really interesting combinations for taking enemies down. Although i will say where the game is let down the most is it’s mini bosses. They are incredibly repetitive with like 4 different types of enemies in rotation for it, it gets kinda stale. The flying controls for the Trudi sections also kinda suck, it feels very clunky and like it was an afterthought.

Overall I had a really good time with this game! I think it’s a great title for the PS5 and its great to see Sony’s Class Wee Guys back in action.

Christ what a game.

It's very surprising to me how much they throw at the wall with this in terms of the horror genre and just how much of it actually sticks. It feels like a near full return to resident evil's batshit form, especially within the last section of the game.

Personal highlights for me have got to be Castle Dimitrescu and House Beneviento. I feel like these first two areas are where the game is at it's strongest, really setting the atmosphere perfectly.

That being said however I just wish we got a little more time to know more about the main antagonists of the game and the actual village itself. I still don't really know what was going on with Mother Miranda and I feel as if I barely learned anything else about Donna Beneviento other than ooooo she has some fucked up and evil dolls oooooo.

Heisenberg calling Chris a "boulder-punching asshole" is probably the most important part of the game tbh.
