Botany Manor is an extremely charming puzzler and is a deft entry into a genre that I find could use some more games that aren't 30-hour meta puzzling mind breakers. Botany Manor is easy, and while that descriptor milage of course may vary, I don't mean it as a slight. As much as I love absolute brain busters like Baba is You or Void Stranger, it's nice to just have a game where you lightly solve flower mysteries for a few evenings and set it down. If you want a light puzzler experience, I strongly recommend.

Wanted to play something short and cute in the VN space and this definitely delivered. It's not really much of a puzzle game as it claims, but it doesn't need to be. It's cute and short enough for a single session and that's all it needs to be.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 stars

If you like Celeste or 3D platformers you should take the hour to play this, short and cute little game.

This game plays smooth and is technically gorgeous, but there is just something... missing that i can't put my finger on. Maybe it's the modern Nintendo House Style UI/Overworld, or maybe it's that the game is a little too committed to showing you bespoke technical marvels that it can't find it's mechanical complexity for very long? I had a good time genuinely, but I get the distinct feeling this could have been an all timer game, it just isn't for me, and I still don't understand why.

Calling Resident Evil 5 complex is such a weasel worded way of describing the thing. The game is deeply racist to its core, one of the most tasteless stories I've seen in a long time. Yet, strictly as a mechanical entity, I cannot deny it was quite fun. I played the whole game co-op with a friend, probably a requirement for the game to be any fun, as its clearly the way the entire game is designed around. Some of the boss fights and more challenging bits seem like they would be truly awful with an AI to babysit. The game is a little dated (and not just because of the sub 1800s racism), the cutscene QTEs chief among them. But the set pieces feel suitably spectacular, the stop and pop gameplay makes every encounter feel the right amount of tense and the levels are paced suitably for the mechanics. It makes this game a weird one to chew on. IF you have a friend willing to play through the entire thing with you and IF you both are willing to reckon with how offensive the game is, then i can't say I didn't enjoy playing it. But i can't really recommend it unless you meet those criteria. Maybe just play 4? That one I've heard is pretty good.

Awful One Star Game that i can honestly say i kinda had a blast with?? Not particularly engaging combat system, bad story, but yet, if you blast through it on co-op, laughing at the horrendous cinematography and terrible dialog, you can have a lot of fun. Was tempted to give it 3 stars but it's way too long for a bad game. But if you want to have a laugh with a friend, you can do worse honestly.

This entire game was just me pinballing between thinking this was the coolest thing i've ever played and thinking the game was complete garbage. What a bizarre gaming experience, its memorable at least.

In a better world this is just a 10 hour co-op shooter that goes onto be a cult classic. This isn’t that world. Not saying this game isn’t fun, I’ve had a blast! But as the case goes for every live service game that isn’t immediately the biggest game in the world, this is destined for a shutdown in a year and permanent spot on social media threads titled “What dead online game did you think was cool?” I like this game, but it really deserved so much better. Maybe in the next universe.

Every single year a game or two comes out of less than nowhere and blindsides you. I had literally never heard of this game 3 days ago, and now I have not only played it all, but consider it one of the best games i've played in 2023. A beautiful low poly platformer, with the smoothest movement i've played in years. It also is extremely short and sweet, just a perfect way to spend an evening or two

A totally reasonable game to spend an afternoon with. If you are really in the mood for another Limbo/Inside, this does that job adequately.

Its fun to see an Indie metroidvania decide it wants to be a little more on the Castlevania side, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. We gotta stop indie writers though, the story is well meaning but quite embarrassing.

A fun little gag game, don't go in expecting a ton, but its got some charm to it.

I played this game when there were only 4 out of 7 chapters released, but I can say I’m already incredibly excited for more, great art, well crafted characters and a system of traits and choices that really get me excited to come back and play more. Will be waiting for baited breath for the final three parts but I’m confident in their quality when they do come
