This platform fighter nails the game feel resulting in a game where moving and executing attacks is a pleasure on its own. Add in a likable cast of elemental fighters with elaborate mechanics, tools that are fun to abuse yet solidly balanced and you got the next best thing to Smash at its peak. Plus there's a whole host of custom characters on the Steam Workshop which expand the roster further adding everything from wacky bullshit to balanced yet powerful newcomers. Always fun to play! <3

It should be noted that this review mostly concerns the Steam version especially with regards to its plethora of Workshop content, however I own all three versions there's been of the game and I will note the Nintendo version is also great and that the portabilty and convenience makes up for the lack of steam workshop characters outside of the four they added. I will also say I started with the Xbox version and the less said about that the better - I was very dismayed with how that version took forever to get the full cast of characters. Above all avoid that version.
